You watched one bears game this year?

Am I remembering that correctly?

3. the first and last two. Doesn't take much to see he's got nothing going on.

So you saw there were no holes for him to run through in those 3 games right?

He's just a guy, OK? Replacement level. Nobody's going to worry about stopping him.

His running style will most likely have his career finished by 30 years old, but he is def more than just a guy.

Why wasn’t he better in college?

Here’s a short list of free agent tackles I found.

Leno can be cut, and if he isn't cut he'll almost certainly restructure. There is no way the Bears let him fuck up the season again when they can save money against the cap cutting him. They can also cut Massie after June first but it'll carry with it a little sting on the 2021 cap.

If they really trot those two out there again I'll be at a loss for words. There is no reason to keep them.

Leno's dead money hit is $7M this year and $5M next year. Massie has a $11M dead cap hit this year. Restructuring doesn't change that.

If they cut Leno after 6/1 that dead money hit is way lower. They can easily do Leno like they did Parkey.

I just attached the links. It would cost the $12M in dead cap money over the next 2 seasons just to get $3M in cap space this year and $6M next year.

Because of the contracts of Leno and Massie they can't cut them.

Maybe Leno was hurt. last year he had no penalties and this year he had 12. hasn't missed a game in 5 years, he's got that going for him. could he play inside?

From your link:
Quote:
2020 Dead Cap: $2,294,000
2021 Dead Cap: $5,082,000
2020 Cap Savings: $8,000,000

That is a net savings figure.

Massie is tougher one to get rid of. Cant believe they re-signed him. If you want to get after Pace for a shitty move that's the one to get after him for, not the Shaheen pick.

He got paid and stopped caring. He's a whiny little baby too, constantly complains about this or that. He was the only person in the entire Bears organisation who went out of their way to coddle Parkey.

Most NFL players realize its the media who is their enemy, not the fans. Leno is too stupid/obstinate/angry (perhaps all three) to recognize this and seems to relish his adversarial relationship with the fanbase. That's fine if you're good, but he was one of the worst players in the NFL last year. I'm willing to take a $5m 2021 cap hit to put him on the street.

I didn't necessarily say cut them. But they simply cannot go out there with those two at tackle next season. Massie was hurt and Leno was awful. For all the of excuses you make with Mitch, the OT position was perhaps worse than TE and QB.

Cut one, make the other your backup, and get a FA or draft pick out there.

Seeing as it's unlikely Goober Pace drafts a QB in the 2nd round, I'd take a TE and OT in the 2nd...though it should be OT and QB.

Hub has addressed Leno and Massie. He still thinks Massie will improve. Leno....he nicely claimed that he's not good enough.

Two....they have 2 bring in at least 2 new Tackles through draft or FA

in his entire tenure, Pace has only drafted one OT: Tayo Fabuluje - 6th round. he played in 2 games.

This is one of the strongest tackle classes in years. There will be good tackles on the board when the Bears pick. Austin Jackson announced he's entering the draft today...

Jeremiah released his first mock yesterday...he's got Lamb going at #12 and Queen going at #19. Kinlaw has been tearing it up at the Senior Bowl I think I might prefer him at #19 over Queen or Murray.

How does his core look?

I’m assuming you’ve studied MANY shirtless Joe Burrow pics.

Burrow threatening to pull an Eli on the Bengals seems like a more interesting story than his hand size.
