So this means that he won't be a Bear?

Good for everyone!

It's a shame he retired before Rodgers could eclipse him. Sadly that's probably not happening regardless.

That’s fine. Rodgers has eclipsed all Bears titles in your lifetime of being a fan. That’s good enough for me.

Eli's a bigger legend than Rodgers. He starred as a massive underdog starting QB against the most despised team in the league and slayed Tom Brady* not once but twice. He single handedly denied Brady* and Belichik* from cheating their way to 16-0 and authored one of the most dramatic comebacks in NFL history with the helmet catch drive that ended with him throwing a perfect lob to Burress for the win. Aaron Rodgers's career highlight is beating Caleb Hanie to make the SB where he enjoyed hitting open WRs playing against bad defense.

Plus he did it in NY and not the Midwestern version of Buffalo.

Yep. Plus I forgot to mention with the Patriots documented record of cheating playing against them is like playing against a team with more men on the field than allowed. Despite all that Manning slayed them twice. Rodgers barely survived in an even matchup.

It’s quite sad that being a Bears fan these days means bragging about New York Giant accomplishments

Chicago and NY are basically brothers.

Nice pivot away from the Rodgers Manning comp. It ain't close. Helmet catch drive trumps anything Rodgers did with far superior talent.

Glad that you think Eli was better than Rodgers and it’s not close. That is certainly a good and smart opinion to hold.

Absurd to even consider this guy for the HOF.

You don't even think his brother his top five/ten, so your absurd thoughts are excused from this conversation.

His brother is over rated, but he's still a hall of famer. Probably the 12th best QB all time.. Eli isn't a top 40 QB.

Oddly enough, 312Player is right in this case.

He's a .500 career QB. 60.3% completions. 366/244 TD/INT split. If he didn't win 2 Super Bowls and have the last name Manning, he wouldn't be in the conversation as a Hall of Famer.
