The mere fact that he is desperate to find guys that agree with his opinion says quite a bit.

Here are the facts. They have 7 wins out of about 35 in games that he has played. Tonight they were beaten by a team full of rotation guys and G Leaguers.

This after being told they'd be better when they got their full roster back.

If this kid was as good as No Great Shakes keeps telling us then their record would be better.
They have the worst record in the league despite the fact that he has played in most of his team's games.

He isn't all that good and if he is the team's best player then they will never amount to much.

They will never make the playoffs with him as their best player.

He can put up all of the stats that he wants. They are meaningless. He is a loser.

HoF and 3 time champion Kevin McHale agrees that Trae Young's stats are meaningless.

45/6/15 on over 50% shooting. Tough close loss to Toronto. Coach could barely keep him on the bench because the team was so useless without him out there. Another amazing night for the all star.

Yet they still were only +1 with him on the floor.

Agreed. Kevin McHale knows what a meaningful basketball game happens to be. He understands the unimportance of stats on losing teams.

Still, they held them to 95. I'm sure having the worst defender in the NBA in street clothes helped.

I'm still wondering how they were able to score and win without him.

95 is good. But not a catalyst type game to show Trae that he should start trying and start working on his defensive game. At some point, and it should be this year, it has to be made clear that he is absolutely killing them on the defensive end.

Trae is a volume chucker and a horrible defender. The only thing he does do well is distribute, if morons weren't pimping him as a future star, then the expectations could be re-calibrated for this guy. Decent NBA starter, potential good role player off the bench.

The Washington Wizards beat the Hawks with a Worse roster than what the Clippers trotted out last night and So have the Knicks. The Knicks blew them out and so have a few of the other lesser teams. All with Trae on hand.

He is a GREAT distributor and a GREAT penetrator. He will be a solid all star if he ever figures out you can't win if you sit out on the defensive end. Anybody can be a John Paxson-like defender. Be dirty and just get in the way. Take pride in being dirty and getting in the way.

He will be an all-star because morons vote for vanity-based stats. He won't be star-caliber player until he shoots more efficiently.

He's the 3rd most efficient PG in the league. If it wasn't for turnovers, he'd be #1. I hate his guts on the other end. The term pussy would be apt.

I mean, he has to shoot better than 37% from 3.

Do you even know what efficiency means???

His numbers are attained mostly once the game is already over. Worst point differential in the league. That's why McHale stated what he stated last week. Easy to post numbers in non competitive games. There have many that have done it over the years.

Much tougher to win. They win 20% of the games he participates in. Most of his games are blowouts. Teams with worse rosters than the Hawks outperform theirs. How much of that is on Trae? Quite a bit

The turnovers and the 35 footers are a slight problem. The elephant in the room is the 85th out of 86 PGs on defense. And how he's not 86th, I don't know. Maybe because Isaiah Thomas is playing with one hip. A 21 year old with his quickness should not be the worst defensive player in the league. There's no excuse for it.

I get that. But I've watched him too. When he's in a zone, there's wizardry happening. Right now, he's a kid playing kid games and we know it takes more than that.

He does go off at times. It just always seems to happen when they are down 15 and he is playing against 2nd stringers. As McHale stated at some point you have to start winning. They have been buried at 30th (dead last) in the power rankings for the entirety of this year.

How can someone hate Trae Young so much and love Zach Lavine so much?

Young's point differential is far superior to Zach Lavine's. Young's efficiency is in the Top 15 in all the league.

LTG is a joke. A damned fool, as the LTG's say.
