Much to her mother and little sister's collective consternation, my 4 year old's current favorite song is Run to the Hills by Iron Maiden...to the point that she walks around the house singing the chorus, and asks Alexa to play it constantly    . Yesterday, we let her listen to Number of the Beast for a little variety.

My wife doesn't know it, but I got her started on Harvester of Sorrow last week.

I got home tonight and there was a ribbon on my door from the community for our Christmas decorations

Fra gi Le. It must be Italian.

My stepdaughter has (again) gone vegetarian... she asked me to prepare to make a late night sandwich for her while she is studying. I came up with italian loaf bread, provolone, swiss, a thin layer of pesto, and some sauteed mushrooms as sort of a mushroom melt panini. Of course I made two so I could have one and OMG, I surprised myself with how good it tastes. I might have to put this in the rotation.

Found 30 cents at a tollbooth last weekend. My I-PASS was negative, and I didnt have much change on me. A 60-cent toll turned into 30 cents after the discovery, so I eneded up paying the I-PASS rate anyway.

pro tip - in heavy traffic, going through the manual side of the tollboth plaza (not the ipass lanes) is often faster

I'm almost positive that picking up dropped change at a tollbooth is considered theft from the state.

The whistler should stop and pick up all the change he can and not stop until a cop sees him.

Installed 8 can lights in my kitchen. Learned a lot in the process. What a fucking mess of drywall dust that created. Glad it's done...it did, however, turn out great.

My Dad was an electrician....he taught me pretty well, but Jesus...drywall repair is even worse than Plumbing.

Went to the WWE Royal Rumble in Houston last night with 5 other buddies.

The WWE had to reconfigure the arena so our original floor seats got moved to a location that was not as good in our opinion. We talked to WWE fan services about it and were working the process with them to see what our options were. Yesterday morning I got a call from the guy who said that they left us 6 alternative floor seats at will call. I asked him what to do with the floor seats we already had. He said we had access to both seats and could sit in any of them that we wanted.

So at that point the 6 of us had access to 12 pretty spectacular floor seats. So we debated what to do with them. Some options were:

1. Sell the 6 we weren't going to use. We easily could have cleared $1,000 for the six I would have to guess.
2. Go get 6 strippers and take them to the Rumble.
3. Use both allotments of tickets - toggle between the seats during the event if we wanted.

What we actually decided to so was the following. After deciding which seats we wanted, me and two other guys in my party went to the upper deck and found a family with four kids and a mom and a dad and told them it was their lucky day because we were going to give them the 6 floor seats that we weren't going to use - no strings attached. The kids were between the ages of 6-10, and they were obviously pumped up. One kid kept saying "Is this a dream" over and over again. It was absolutely awesome.

So we walked the family over to their seats, I snapped a quick pick with them, and then we told them these are their new seats - no strings attached. Needless to say the parents were speechless when they saw the seats, and the mom kept saying that she was going to start to cry.

The Rumble was a great show and we had a tremendous time, the above was a great way to start out the event. That's a memory that those kids will have for their whole life. It's not too often in life that you get do something like that for someone, much less a bunch of little kids. One of the kids was a cousin of the other three and he was down from Dallas because his Christmas present was the tickets to the show, so Santa One Post and Friends really enhanced that gift.

You could have left the parents up there and gotten 2 strippers for the kids. That would have been a better picture.
