Yeah, the "piranhas" are nipping at their heels, just a game out. With Detroit also not far behind, its getting very interesting. Losing 2 in a row at home, thats pretty disappointing. Tonight they get Smith, who is just 5-6, but has a sparkling 3.44 ERA. He just went 9 innings against the Angels his last time out, giving up just 1 run on 4 hits. Oh, and he is a lefty too. Just in case you didnt hear, the Cubs won in St Louis 2-1 and increased their lead in the N.L. Central to 3.5 games ahead of the Cardinals.

if the same people who were tired of steve's antics before this ignore feature was introduced STILL haven't put him on there now that it IS a feature, i can't really say anything except...WHY? you're clearly wanting to hear meatball reactions and opinions if you haven't done this yet. i award you no points and may god have mercy on your souls.

It's the same as all the people who hated Mike North's show, yet listened every single day. My best explanation is that some people just love to piss and moan about stuff.

The foe's feature is by far the best feature of this new board.

What a great performance by Gavin last night. The Sox improved their season record to 20-12 against left handers. They have to win today and will have their work cut out for them against Rich Harden.

That was a big win. A very nice outing by Johnny Danks. The Sox ended the homestand 8-2. Don't let up in KC and Texas.

Finding out that CC Sabathia is no longer in the AL Central is the perfect way to cap off an 8-2 homestand.

Did the White Sox lose ground to Minnesota despite the great homestand? If so, ridiculous. I respect Minnesota, but I hate them. Please go away.

I believe they lost a game and a half. If memory serves, they were 2.5 ahead after sweeping the Cub. Cleveland may have traded CC to help the Sox, but their play this weekend certainly didn't do us any favors. Twins have won something like 17 out of 20. That kind of pace will not last much longer.

Great Job by the Sox, splitting a series-at home! Actually the game on Saturday (which I attended) featured a brilliant performance by Gavin Floyd, who will be an All-star if he can stay healthy. I thought he had a chance this year even. They did well, to win the finale too, against a tough pitcher. That Oakland team gets far less credit than they deserve. They have some outstanding pitching.

Finding out C.C. Sabathia is no longer in the division, should be no real cause for celebration. He was 1-2 against the Sox this year, with a terrible ERA. He was one lefty they were hitting well.
