Funny one of my guys is going to check it out tonight.

I'm thinking of rolling this week as my best friend's Son happens to play for Thornton. Also the starting QB on the Football team. Never seen him hoop but i heard that he is good in basketball too.

Thornton popped Bloom a few weeks ago and i thought they'd run the table this year.

About to pull the schedule up in a minute to see when they play later on during the week.

Bloom was missing some guys for that game. Thornton is really good though this year.

Beat U High last night in OT with JORR and his bride in attendance.

That gives us the inside track to win the conference if we stay healthy this year.

Rematch 2/7 at your place.

U High should have won. They were up 13 with 4 minutes left. Arnie Duncan's kid can roll out of bed and put up 25. Just a great shooter.

Young Crest had 10 pts and 18 rebounds.

Caldwell Jones Crest?

And that's no surprise about Arne's son, his dad is a gun.

Lincoln park's season has come to an abrupt end.

https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/bre ... story.html

Lincoln Park High School’s varsity boys basketball team is suspended from the season, and school leaders have been removed amid allegations of “serious misconduct,” according to a letter sent to families Friday.

“Due to multiple allegations of serious misconduct involving the athletics program at Lincoln Park High School, the district has removed Interim Principal John Thuet and Assistant Principal Michelle Brumfield from their positions," states the letter from Chicago Public Schools Network Chief Laura LeMone. "Dean John Johnson and Boys Basketball Coach Donovan Robinson have been reassigned from their duties pending the outcome of these investigations. Unfortunately, due to the severity of the misconduct allegations involving the team, the remainder of the varsity boy’s basketball season has been suspended until further notice.

With the amount of people being fired there is more to that story than being reported.

The letter does not mention head coach Pat Gordon, who was removed earlier in January, CPS officials confirmed.

The boys basketball team’s families were informed an unidentified staff member had been removed from the school in a Jan. 9 letter, in which Thuet wrote he’d been “made aware” that members of the team "took an overnight trip over winter break that was not a school sponsored event.”

...

Also, on Jan. 25, Thuet sent all LPHS families an email about “an allegation that one of our employees engaged inappropriately with a student.” The employee, who was not identified in the email, was removed from the school, and an investigation was initiated by the Office of Inspector General, according to the email.

Unfortunately, the demise of the Lincoln Park program was a tragedy all around.

Why can't they play at UIC or Wintrust?

I am guessing the company that bought the rights to host it can not afford those arenas.

I just took a peek at that Sectional you're in and realized I've had most of the teams in the other sub sectional that feeds GK. In fact I have Lutheran tomorrow and there is not much competition for them out here...same for Marengo.

We played for the conference championship today and just destroyed Parker.

Best game by far that we played all year. Are you a ref HD?

Lutheran and Rockford Christian look pretty good.

Yes I am. Lutheran is probably the best team I've seen this year, Christian struggled a bit with Woodstock North, Marengo lost its Christmas tourney to an average Fox Valley Hampshire. I typically work Big Northern, ESCC, Kishwaukee Valley, Fox, Northern Lake, North Suburban, NIC 10, and NEC...so not many closer suburban schools. I will say that the coach for Christian is undoubtedly the best dressed coach you will see at a game.

Wasn’t Marango a three A team last year?

Yes, but this year they are the largest school in 2A, as well as Richmond-Burton and Johnsburg from the Kish. Harvard and the Woodstocks are in 3A.

I thought so.

My son and I went to the Sectional final game there last year because a travel baseball coach of his, and two of his sons, played for Glenbard South.

They were up and down around mid season.
