Seventh rounder. Do they still have seventh rounders?

The price should be cheap. I think the question is would you rather have him or Mitch as a starter and Id still lean Mitch

Fuck. I don't want this red headed fuck. I'd rather roll with (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky and see if he can improve.

Spend the fucking money else where. And don't give up a draft pick for him. Shit. Can I GM the Bears? I can do it better. No doubt in my mind.

You're not winning shit with Dalton.

This is probably a none story. The Bengals reached out to the Bears to see if they were willing to give up anything. They got some reporter to tweet something that sounds like the Bears have interest in him. Dalton will be cut soon.

Nope. My guy says the Bears two 2nds in 2020 gets the deal done and it is imminent.

Andy Dalton would be a real backup and challenger. For the money that is.

Financially, this won't happen. If you study the salary cap like I do y'all would realize the Bears can only bring in cheap competition for Mitch this year. But carry on...

The salary cap is a myth. There’s always room if you want a player

The manipulated money will be used to severely overpay for Austin Hooper.

And Dalton. Might even fuck around and trade for Lev Bell. Mack’s gonna have to be a team player and restructure his deal

This would only happen if Kenny Williams were the GM of the Bears.

Get Tom Brady, draft some O-lineman, and call it a day.

Add this one to the rumors "circulating" about Derek Carr, and every other free agent QB on the market. Until a contract is signed, it's all just a bunch of rubbish.

Yup, tons of misinformation from agents and teams trying to generate interest. Sadly, Dalton would likely outplay Mitch and win the job in a truly open competition. Pace is almost forced to bring in a vet to see if the problems with the offense are all due to Mitch sucking or due to Nagy not being able to develop the offense. If a vet comes in and is able to make the quick reads and throw an accurate ball that allows for the 3-5 yard gains this offense should generate consistently then Mitch is holding a clipboard for the rest of his career.

Meh.. he’s very similar to Mitch, maybe slightly better. But now you’d have to sit him down in this bullshit complicated offense that takes 2 years to learn when he’s already been in the league for almost 10 years and is mediocre at best.. I’d pass unless this is just the Bears looking to sign him to a backup role after he’s cut.

After some of the issues they had with him last year I’d actually be curious to see if the Bears could move into the mid 1st round by offering up Roquan Smith and one of their draft picks. At that point I’d just sign both Kwiatkowski and Trevathan and take a serious look at one of the QB’s in this draft while holding on to Mitch for 1 more year.

I am done with Trevathan and don’t think he is an asset at this point. I could not care less if we move on from him.

At this point, it's not about finding our future at QB, it's finding a decent QB to push (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky until upper management has the balls to move on from (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky and find a real QB.

We're in the playoffs last year with Andy, I don't want a trade..he'll be cut. Wait it out. Mitch would crumble with a competition at the position..he's mentally weak.

Agreed. I am still just wondering about all this QB signing talk and what exactly it will mean. Pace and Nagy have already fully committed themselves to (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky for this year, so I am trying to figure out what the chances are that a newly signed veteran QB actually plays or makes starts this year. Is it just to push (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky? Is it just to give him a shorter leash? Or is there actually a chance Mitch starts the year on the bench?
