There's no way the producers were going to let Murph get destroyed at a public appearance. Murph would have demanded heads roll had that happened.

As mentioned elsewhere (s)Murf has taken calls nominating himself as TotW before (IIRC he's even won in the past). The point is NOT to "get cut off", it's to get your displeasure heard. If you want to let (s)Murf know that you don't like him send him a nasty email.

You people are so dense.

Why keep referencing the past when THIS SHOW was specifically targeted to go after Murph in a concerted fashion?

Since this was a pre-planned "attack" on Murph coupled with the fact that we know he's a thin-skinned hothead, why would you expect Murph to idly sit there and listen to a caller's diatribe about their displeasure of him? Are you that stupid to think Murph would just allow a bunch of callers to rip into him? Are you stupid enough to think that the Score producers, SOME OF WHOM VISIT THIS WEBSITE, would allow this to happen at the risk of their jobs or getting reamed at by Murphy (Murph is a hothead, see above)?

You're just not using common sense. As far as getting your displeasure heard, ever heard of the 7-second delay or the dump button? Of course this wont make it to the air so its a faulty concept to begin with. At least by quickly telling off Murph (first getting on the air morons...by not telling the producers youre going to rag on murph) like that South Side guy correctly did in the first hour you let him know and rattle Murphy on the air and make him go to commercial for example like he did.

Props to South Side Mike but the rest of you guys are complete idiots that need to get a clue and learn common sense.

Thanks for the tip Murph producers. So does that mean that Murph will never take a call that nominates him for tool of the week again.

I'm not a score producer. I'm just saying that those types have been known to visit here before so of course they likely have a heads up on what was planned!!!!!!!! Ergo the old tricks wont work in this situation so stop relying on "but mommy....they let me nominate murph as tool before...why in the world wont they do it now...waa waa".

Having them know about this was part of the plan. The fact that Murph did sound like he was "flop sweating" as someone else put it, made this a victory without anyone getting through. The fact that people at the Score knew about this and were on the lookout for it should send message enough. People who matter need to know that a small, angry group of people were willing to do this. Now that this has been done, they also know it wasn't just a stream of B.S., that people really did it. I heard at least 4 people get in and get dumped or put back on hold, and I know of at least 4 or 5 others who didn't get past the screener. (And let me tell ya, EBev brought his A game today; another reason he's too good to work for Murf) This was a win, IMO, not a rousing 17-0 trouncing, but a win nonetheless. And I will continue to try and get to Murph every week just to make myself happy! Maybe we'll try this again, or maybe we won't.

Oh please....this whole plan failed and it's pathetic how you're trying to spin this as some sort of moral victory. You're so deluded into thinking this rattled Murph so much as to change his ways let alone lose a second of sleep for this? And so what if the producers know. The producers dont have to be convinced that Murph is an jerkoff- they work with him daily so of course they know. Are you really so foolish to think the producers will tell murph after the show 'Just wanted you know know that were were a lot of callers that were disgruntled by you and wanted to express that...FYI Murph". OF COURSE NOT!!!!!

You not only lack common sense but now it appears you are delusional types to chalk this up as a success. It was clearly and unmitigated failure.

As Murf told a caller last week...."opinions are like belly buttons..we all have one."

The Titanic sunk. Everyone's entitled to their opinion.

This whole debate about identifying your intentions or not as part of the anti-sMurf guerilla warfare seems silly to me. If the producer doesn't let you on one way, you can always call back using a different approach. Trial and error, my friends. All it costs you is about ten seconds. What's the big deal?

Good point. I wonder why these idiots weren't smart enough to figure it out. Their full disclosure approach failed and instead of calling back with a different angle they just posted on here whining about how "the producers were on to us".

These are real mental midgets we're dealing with, Tall Midget.

Ya'll realize that alot of people at the station monitor this site right??

If you're gonna plan something, I would attempt to plan it a little more secretively (is that a word?).

It was a nice effort though.....better luck next time.

I'm not a score producer, but a real one just confirmed what I've been saying all along. You guys are complete idiots and I wouldn't put you guys in charge of planning anything ever. Your IQ's combined couldn't figure out what Rock and I have said- and adding the IQ's together still keeps you at under 100 which is easy to believe.

I think everyone is aware that people at the station read this board. At the very least everyone knows that Rock reads it and would probrally let Murphapaloza know. So I don't think anyone here is stupid

I think the initial suggestion was said in jest and then it snowballed. Then on Friday a bunch of people said what the hell.

My advice is simple. Every Friday just nominate Murph for Tool of the week. Lets see how long they won't let Murph be nominated. Don't lie to the producer. Just say I want to nominate Murph.

Murph says everone is elligible. So try to nominate his dumb ass every Friday.

Of course we do--THIS SITE is the source of ALL of the station's good ideas. Now crawl back into your cage, monkey boy.

No one here is dumb. Rock we all knew you fat ass would let them know. Like Murphstache said people were just reading this thread all week and then just said what the hell.

The only true dumbass is the 1.7 million dollar racist that you worship. Now go do another "Bookie Priest". The bit has run its course. It's the same thing everyday. But it amuses Pappy to no end. He plays it and then laughs at his own bit raving on how brilliant it is. So he will probrally do 20 more days of it and then release them all on a CD that nobody will buy.

And I'll wager you tested at genius levels, right? Your misuse of the apostrophe in IQs tells us all how utterly brilliant you are...the way you didn't capitalize the "S" in Score, the work of a Mensa member. For god's sake, if you're going to criticize the intelligence level of others, do so using proper grammar and punctuation, or risk looking like the mouth breathing dipshit that I am sure you are.

As for this whole Murphapalooza sabotage, I think it was good that the producers and Murph knew. Psychologically, the fear or anticipation of something happening can have more of an effect than the actual act happening. There was a Family Guy episode where this is brilliantly illustrated. To that effect, you can't tell me that Murph didn't sound distracted today. With that in mind, maybe this thing that some see as a failure was a success, who knows?

Rock, why you do HAVE to use "ya'll" in almost every post you make? Trying to increase your street cred?

Boy I'll tell you what. You can't pull one past those genious Score producers. They put their collective minds together and figured it out.

Ofcourse you ass holes figured it out...it was posted for crying out loud. I'll bet all the guys got in a huddle, put there hands on one and others and yelled "TEAM WORK" break.

At least now they all have a story to tell their grand kids.

The irony of Rock's condescending attitude is that he's apparently taking pride in helping protect a guy who's widely regarded as a world class ass, especially to those working under him--as Rock once did.

Congratulations, Rock! You've achieved false consciousnes.....

At least they'll let you on the air to make your point before cutting you off--nothing made my listening day more enjoyable than hearing Murph have to dump several callers, all of who got on just long enough to make him squirm, almost audibly, as he reached for the dump button.
