Talk to me about our offensive tackles, no tight end, and two ineffective running backs. Then tell me about what the opponents defense did to them.

Because he looked lost and bad for a chunk of the season

Pitt is right. How in the hell is anyone supposed to lead a team with no talent at offensive tackle, tight end, and two running backs? They have AWFUL personnel surrounding (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. This shit is all on Pace. He had draft picks and money and totally blew it. The real sad part is that I do not think that they are fixable right now. I think that this team is doomed and it is all the fault of Pace. This didn't have to happen but Pace really screwed things up. Part of it is coaching but who hired the coach?

I watched another Chicago team a few years ago totally screw up a good team. That was the Bulls. Now, that team is unwatchable. The BEars are going that way I think. Another case of bad management and a myriad of lousy decisions.

This is a prove it year for everyone involved.

Hooper to the Packers is somewhat believable, but there is no way Kwiatkowski is going there.

Signing with the Bears at this time is bad for your career if you're a pass catcher. If I'm a star TE I'm avoiding this city like the plague unless I'm catching passes from an actual NFL starting QB.

When the QB1 cannot read what coverage the D is using it makes everyone look "ineffective", you could even has Nas (if he's not too busy salivating over Rachel Maddows new pantsuit) at TE and Mitch wouldn't see that he has a slow LB covering him and know that is the best chance for a 5-7 yard gain which puts you in 2nd and manageable, Your guy Mitch was at least close to average with almost the exact same group around him in 2018, so to feel that his regression is totally due to what was around him is one way to look at it, but to absolve him from blame is shortsighted.

The Bears had a healthy TE that could catch and the play calling was new. Cohen still knew how to catch as well.

How many times did the replay show Cohen wide open last year? How many times did Mitch miss him on wheel routes and even on quick outs which should be easy completions? What color was Maddows pantsuit last night? I know you were glued to MSNBC waiting for Macomb County to come in for Joltin' Joe.

Not as many as you think. Cohen led the NFL in drops and was generally bad last year. Maddow looked lovely in her black pants suit despite having about 10 senior moments. Comeback Joe swept every county.

Cohen had alot of good drops, probably led the league. When your QB throws a screen or swing pass to a 5'6" back face high and two defenders are 2' feet away and closing..it's a good drop, you catch that and it's a loss of 2-3 yards.

Maybe I'm exaggerating a lil bit but after that 75 yard TD against the Jets..the bears threw way too many screens since then. Defenses are waiting for the wr screen and hb screen.

I'm really not absolving (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky . I'm just saying that they don't have any talent in front of him nor in the backfield. The other thing is that I think he was banged up the first part of the season and that he really was shackled from moving around. It seemed to get better in the 2nd half of the year. I'm also saying that like it or not, they are going to have to stick with him as their quarterback because they have no other choice that is viable.

Yeah that would suck. Especially signing Hooper to $10M+ a year

Rogers will double the number of throw aways when Hooper doesn't get open rather than throwing it into a tight spot

Also, he will cost more than 10.

The Floyd decision is key, do they cut him and use the $13 million in cap space to sign a big money FA and if they do how to they fill the OLB position opposite Mack, FA or with one of the second round picks? At this point is does not look like Floyd will ever develop an inside power move, that is unless he gets on the Hulk Hogan say your prayers and take your vitamins workout regime, to counter his outside speed rush.

Floyd is 28, his skinny ass ain't getting bigger. He'll be 230 tops. Easy decision imo , cut his ass .

Hence the + sign.

You'd kill to see a QB as good as 35 year old Rodgers in a Bears uniform just once in your lifetime

Chicago received a fourth-round compensatory pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. The selection is 34th in the fourth round and 140th overall.

They received the pick for safety Adrian Amos, who signed with the Packers in free agency last year.

With this fourth-round compensatory pick, the Bears now have eight draft selections heading into April’s NFL Draft. Chicago has a pair of second-round selections, as well as their own picks in the fifth, sixth and seventh rounds.

They also own a sixth-round selection from the Eagles in exchange for Jordan Howard, and a seventh-rounder from the Raiders in the Khalil Mack trade.

I am a Floyd fan and even I have to take a step back when I see that number. It seems like double his value on the open market. He will definitely get offers but I don't think he will be looked at as a guy who helps to solve your pass rush.

Cut Floyd and get me Robert Quinn fro 8 AAV and I think that is a net improvement on the rush for less money. Heck, you can even aim lower and get Bruce Irvin for 3-4 AAV as a pass rusher and still get better pressure.

but I am of the opinion that Floyd does contribute more than his stats say. Still those contributions aren't worth 13 million
