. . . I find the hesitations and pauses in his delivery a little disconcerting at times. He'll make a statement and then pause for just a second or two, which says to me either (a) I got time to kill and not a lot to say and I'm milking this for all it's worth, or (b) I need to stop and let all of you people soak up the "geniousness"--as Jerry Angelo would say--and profound nature of my last statement.

Ahhh, I'm probably being picky. I got what I wanted. North is gone. Life is good. Carry on, Laurence. Oh, and Jen-Jen, a space on one of the lifeboats on the Titanic was available to you, but you chose to sit with the orchestra and play "Nearer My God to Thee" as the ship went down. Godspeed to you, my friend. In the past, you've seemed to enjoy posing for lots of pictures with the celebrities that the MNMS enabled you to meet. I think he pauses cuz he realizes that he doesn't even know what he's saying. He's gotta figure out a way to level out the bullshit in mid sentence. He's thinking of how to do it in those pauses.

I've not minded Holmes as much as some of you guys. He's done a solid job thus far. As I mentioned in another thread, I would like to see him with a consistent partner. Maybe if there was more dialogue between him and a partner the pauses you mentioned would stop?

ghost...T-Dub sounds like an excellent pahnta to me for Holms and the pauses are Rome like...and I hate Rome more than any other broadcaster, but even he would be marginally better with a partner...
