Draft back on for April 23-25.
Free agency going on as planned.
Got CBA done in the midst of the panic.
No real word from the league regarding it or that they really even care, in the fact the league is doing everything it can to wrestle coronavirus from the headlines.

Is the NFL going to be the catalyst for sanity in these times?

They do not need to have a crowd present for the draft or free agency

Trades are made by phone. If need be, the draft could be done remotely. CBA voting was done electronically.

Yawn.

The expectation is that everything should be cancelled. The NFL refuses to cow.

Why would anyone cancel events done remotely, electronically or over the phone?

They could've played games in front of no crowd yet other sports still chose to cancel.

NFL stands strong.

If they truly are tough they will have the draft in front of thousands of people.

I am sure Julie thinks that the virus may travel thru phone connections

As if they would hold the draft and not have a couple dozen drunk fans from every allegiance on standby to boo if their team drafts a black quarterback.

You cannot honestly believe the people demanding for these cancellations actually care about public health, right? In this age of narcissism? Please.

They want everything shut down because they have no stake in society and want to see the people who do suffer. The NFL will not succumb to this kind pathological misanthropy.

When the NFL starts doing things that are not done over the phone you may have a point.

I see people on Facebook who are very demonstrative about how Good they are for following the rules and how Bad everyone else is. It's not unreasonable that for some, this is less about a genuine concern for the health of others than another opportunity to signal their superiority. What sort of deep concern do you think is coming from bitter introverts who live off Seamless orders, anyway?

Its sad, but for a large percentage of the American population ordering delivery and streaming television all day is what they want to do anyways. Of course they're all super depressed because that's no way for a human being to live, and you know how misery loves company...

Charles Leno already practices social distancing while playing.
