In my lifetime I have met and even been close to some very very smart (Nobel Prize winner) and wealthy individuals. I am struggling to find one that was even closely as smug and unseemly as Bernsie's twitter and since Penn St. radio character.

His mom has probably about ten years left to live and he wants to stop her from enjoying a game of bridge. I really don't want to turn this into an abortion thread, but bernstein is obviously pro-abortion and one of the consistent arguments in favor is that the kid will have a shitty life. Now suddenly being alive is the highest value? Hey, we're all alive and many of us are starving on the street, there's no ballgames, no restaurants, no bars, and no bridge, but it's great to be alive!

Penn State was the beginning of the end. He used to just be a guy who said “the Score” in a unique way. He turned into a too smart for the room tool.

I have no problem with him sacrificing himself and family for the greater good. He should probably start smaller though with having his kids go to community college and using those funds to send the brown people that he lives by's kids to University in their place.

Also do black and brown people not gather together for parties and card games? Are they immune to the disease? Why suggest that it's being spread by cleaning your home and bridge games? He's fallen off the deep end.

Even you fell for him though because you met him and he seemed nice/genuine.

The American history of the Jew is quite a story. I probably try to find a highly regarded book on it when I have time. Spiegs told an interesting story yesterday that I had not heard before. He, Mac and Shep were discussing the St. Patrick's Day corned beef meal. Spiegs says that due to that the Ruben was invented in NY way back when the Irish and the Jews were very very poor in NY neighborhoods. The claim is they shared back and forth the things they had and the Irish shared the corned beef and surprise it became a Ruben.

Anyway, stereotypes aside and a Holocaust in Europe having influence it seems a pretty big success story.

The cleaning lady comes from a place where people live on top of each other. Dan is "building a wall".

I think it's the other way around. Heavily salt-cured meat is as central European as it gets, makes more sense that the Irish took brisket/pastrami and made it St. Patrick's Day food.

People in Ireland don't even really eat corned beef. Its an American Irish thing.

He's usually so critical of everything and everyone that when he says something nice about some random person I tend to take notice. About 90% of the random people he praises are Jewish. That's fine, but if he was the man of people he is now claiming to be, you think that praise would be spread around a little more liberally.

The absolute bottom has fallen out of the ad market for radio.

Some of these guys have to be wondering how long before costs start getting cut.

Do you or anyone have the public numbers on the streaming particularly the Radio.com deal and that ad revenue?

Fucking Bernstein. Most people don't have cleaning ladies or have their nails done. He doesn't realize that.

Christ, Bernstein wouldn't let Jason Goff in his house when there wasn't a pandemic.

It was a racist comment.

People are really stupid. They think wearing a cloth mask stops a tiny little virus. It's like wearing a colander on your head to stop the rain.

It's more like a bike helmet. Do bike helmets work?

Where is the science to support that contention? Even the 95% masks can't stop the virus. It's so small it falls under the other 5%. If you think a scarf or bandanna can stop it, you're just mistaken. Everyone walking around in homemade masks is nothing more than kabuki theater.

So why are PPE shortages a big deal if they don't work?

However, if this virus is so contagious that even masks don't help then maybe social distancing is the right call.
