I don't mind this move.. if he stays healthy, he can get after the QB. And, its only a 2 year deal really. The Bears needed to add a pass rusher this off season and they did.

Ok, they sucked last year. They have a longer history of being league average and I expect them to return to that.

Leno was among the worst starting players in the NFL last year. He absolutely must go.

We were not THAT far off from making the playoffs last year. Our tackles will be better this year, add Quinn as a huge upgrade over Floyd, a slight upgrade at TE, Foles to push (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky.... now if we can only add a guard, we are a definite playoff contender.

Foles is a QB, not sure if I would consider him legit. Even if he is, still no Guard.

So you just think that by basically coincidence they both sucked last year and they will somehow be better this year? That seems like a pretty big gamble at such an important position.

It would be one thing if both of those slobs were injured last year and were good before their injury. But, they weren't lousy because of injury because they were lousy because that was all they could do.

They were never going to be able to re-tool the entire offensive line. They will probably add another lower cost free agent option and use the draft to add depth.

You're right. It would be one thing if they had some bad injuries to take them from good to awful but they didn't. First of all, neither of them were ever good. They were bad when healthy and worse when hurt. Just wishing for some kind of magic beans to make them better is ludicrous.

Sure they could have if they tried to. Look at all of the money that was spent on defense and the TE position but not a red cent spent on two OTs and a Guard. I think that Pace is a blithering asshole. I think that he is refusing to admit that he f*d up when he re-signed those two tackles and didn't bring in another guard last year as a replacement for Kyle Long.

Forget about "adding another low cost free agent option and using the draft to add depth". They need three STARTERS at those positions, not bargain basement stiffs worse than Long, Massie, and Leno. The Bears offense is doomed.
