Yep, that was today's treat: they had tape of Coppock choking over something while on the air, and the producer running in to give in Heimlich. And I'll be damned if that's not uncomfortable radio to me. What a wacky guy Chet is!! Next time lets run a tape of someone getting shot, knifed, or raped...

I advise turning your radios off between Mully/Hanley, and MJH. There's just nothing to listen to that's worth the effort.

So the interview was eight years ago?

Are you sure that is not the Lasorda interview where he is eating a salad? This was from the mid to early nineties, and he literally takes three minutes to ask Lasorda a question. The question is open ended, and Chet is expecting a lengthy response, so he turns off the mic and continues eating his salad. Lasorda says something like "Yeah" or "No", and that was it. Dead air. Coppock gets back on the mic to do a followup with a mouthful of salad and it is falling out of his mouth as he is talking. I either heard this live or heard it on a best of way back in the day, but I was a teenager so I don't remember the details other than it was funny as hell and even Chet got a kick out of it at the time.
