I’m more inclined to draft and develop this year, then see what the draft pick has to offer once Leno and Massie fail sometime around week 4.

Also, the pick will be another year removed from college, and be one year into NFL weight training come 2021.

Also, as I keep saying, the picks are 43 and 50. Not 15 and 47.

You can draft value and need with either pick as the talent level won’t ideally be that far apart.

Unless another Adam Shaheen is available.

Then we must draft him.

This is Pace's last draft....thank God.

Pace has really improved this franchise. He took an old an awful roster that had Kyle Long as its best player and made it a contender. He has his flaws and blind spots but he's one of the better GM's in football.

Nas, is your whole thing right now just hoping the Bears keep the same OTs, so when Foles struggles behind this line you can just say it wasn’t Mitch’s fault?

Jesus.

That’s what this is all about.

My "whole thing" is wanting the Bears to get potentially great players. Just drafting a T when far better WR or TE is available would be stupid. I've also understood for months that the Bears were likely stuck with Leno and Massie because of the salary cap.

By now it should be obvious that I don't love any team more than the Bears.

I’m willing to amend my position to a pool of 3 positions (OT, WR, TE) with the first 2nd round pick.

Hopefully, this will bring us closer to an understanding, and further solidify Bears fan unity on the board.

The 2nd pick of the 2nd round must be used on an OT if it one is not selected at 43.

We're closer. If a potentially elite TE is on the board at 43 then you have to take him and use the next pick on a potentially elite WR. If the TE isn't available then you go WR and T.

Tackle has to be one of first two picks.

I cannot move from this after my failed Conklin campaign.

Guaranteed WR and OT are our first 2 picks. Most likely WR at 43 and OT at 50. Depends on who is available. We could probably get WRs Michael Pittman or Laviska Shenault at 43, and then take best OT at 50, which I am hoping is Matt Hennessey.

Teams can only tag 1 player now. There will likely be some really good tackles on the market next offseason if all else fails.

If they dont do something at tackle this season is over before it even started. Maybe Ifedi will beat one of the them out in camp, that's about all we can hope for now.

In that case we will already have one young tackle with a year of experience, and then we can add a vet (hopefully good) tackle for the opposite side during the 2021 FA period.

This TE class is awful, this OT class is really good and fairly deep. You're not getting a better TE than OT in the 2nd round

If he cuts down his penalties he could be the starting RT. He cut them nearly in half last year.

After last year, I can't listen to your draft thoughts. Not sure you were right about anything.

I was right about Kyler Murray and Darnell Savage. The only reason I was wrong about Montgomery is because Nagy doesn't know how to use RBs.

You are correct. You were due. Just kidding. Seriously, every time someone bitches that Pace is so terrible they should look at a head shot of Jerry Angelo and Emery.

Actually still better than last year believe it or not.

No chance. Last year was a really good TE class. Fant looks like an emerging star, Hockenson looked solid, guys like Dawson Knox, Jace Sternberger, Foster Moreau, and Kaden Smith showed promise.

Last year and next year were/are the years to grab a TE, not this year.

He had a great first three years and has promptly fallen off a cliff. These two off-seasons have been atrocious.

Honestly, I need to research more than just the top graded WRs I watched in CFB last year.

I really don’t think an interior OL like Hennessey is what the Bears need right now.

You have any other names?

No, Lamar won MVP and Kenny Clark finished the season with the 2nd most pressures of any IDL in the NFL, second to only Donald. You couldn't have taken a harder L on those two if you tried.

Kenny Clark is arguably the worst lineman against the run in the whole league. San Francisco annihilated him twice. Guy is soft as white bread.
