Wager?

Sure. Name it, but I’m not giving you a Games Started qualifier. If your boy doesn’t win the job you lose the bet

I’m not giving you odds. You said you think Mitch will be better than Watson and I disagreed. No wager?

Terrible line, no ground game, no tight ends.. Watson has done great under those terms.

It would be an interesting debate over who is worse.... Pace/Nagy or Bill O'Brien. Watson has definitely overcome O'Brien's foolishness better than (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky has here.

It's true. I posted the numbers last year. Having a safety blanket like that really helps a young QB.

Agreed on this. Not to start a big discussion about the Texans, but their offense is going to look way different this year. David Johnson is a completely different RB than Hyde was, they are gonna over-use Cobb, and will probably add a WR in the draft.

Hyde was decent last year too. Unless they get an elite receiver in the draft, Watson will be dead by Week 8. He holds onto the ball too long

Yeah, Hyde was decent but was a pure 2 down back. They have David Johnson now who plays all 3 downs, plus Duke Johnson so they will have a lot of pro set (2 back sets).

Mostly agree with this. Pace is having a horrible off-season.

He's been volatile. He's been very good and then exceptionally/brutally bad.

Anyone think that they'll take a running back? They need one who can effectively move the chains on short yardage situations.

Montgomery is good, just have to stop handing him the ball off out of shotgun Everytime.

Highly doubt it. If we do take one in later rounds, it won't be a guy who can step in as the starter. I think Montgomery is a lot better than he looked last year. Improved OL and play calling, and I think Montgomery would be a solid RB. Would not be surprised if we add a washed up veteran RB in free agency to bring to camp.

Writer uses too much hyperbole. The Texans have had the worst offseason so far and it’s not close.

The Texans off-season misery is not even complete since it appears Watson is at least going to try and run himself out of town. In a normal year the Bears would have the worst off-season.

Enough with the facts. There's no fun in that.

Montgomery's running style will put him on the injured list frequently, if a back with a first round grade is still there you have to take a long look at him, this team needs speed and playmakers everywhere on offense.
