Maybe. Unlike Bernstein he took a stand and actually said the names of his colleagues who were fired. It's refreshing and I respect that.

It just dawned on me what likely happened. Lawrence takes a cut to stay, Julie gone etc because a certain amount of money needs to be cut. What is clear is Bernsie wasn't taking a cut or only a small one. So his cut was Connor gone. He sold him out. The only remaining part of the mystery is Mac and Parkins.

Yeah that was definitely real and not an act. Telling his bosses to stop with the family garbage and saying they should of waited longer before letting people go.

The boys on the station better be taking cuts or they will be out soon. The layoffs aren't over.

The stock price of Entercomm is now under $1
ETM is now at .94 cents per share. Maybe all the staff should buy the company before the bankruptcy

Also said Julie had an "eloquent" post about her own dismissal yesterday.

Laurence is making the right choice. Taking a small cut of his $500,000 salary to help some lowly staffers stay employed is a great move.

real estate market was good to him

Sure, it was his choice not to quit. No way did he volunteer to take a cut.

and why would he?

There are much bigger contracts at that station, including management.

 no surprise to hear him make it sound like it was his choice.

He is also Larry Di Caro. He was going on about the Bulls coach who could not pronounce Hinrich's name and then about 5 times Larry called him Kurt and said the wrong name was Kirk

Anyone making over 50k had their salary cut. So he had no say in the matter.

He said they asked him, and he agreed. It wasn’t voluntary nor did he represent that it was.

I am sure he loses his job if he says no.

I suspect that with contractual employees had to be asked. But the company has recourse if they say no, ala Goff.

That's typical Larry.

Acting like a hero when he had no choice.

Larry has been that way ever since he hit the air. I've never met a guy that compliments himself more than Larry.

He came off poorly. It’s ok to be upset and sad about losing co-workers, but companies are fighting to survive. If management doesn’t do something, it all ends a lot faster.

I didn't hear the show.

But based on everyone else's comments, Larry is not understanding the bigger picture: if MLB ends up canceling their season and the NFL doesn't start training camps until say October, 670 is going to be simulcasting XRT by July 4.

One of my last flights was in mid March, it was a regional jet and it had 6 people on it. The flight attendants were cracking jokes about it being so light, and moved everyone up into first class for the 45 minute flight. Today, the entire regional jet base at Raleigh is closed, nearly 75 flights a day. And it may not come back when offices reopen.

Larry doesn't understand that he is two steps away from teaching with Herb at IMS.

I didn't hear it either, but I agree. How does Larry think everybody in America gets paid? A company can't employ everybody if they don't have money coming in. The money doesn't come out of thin air, Larry.

So instead of bitching, be grateful that it was McDoink instead of you, Larry.

Mitch was told to make cuts and he had to pick certain guys. It wasn't you cuz you've been a kiss ass to him for 20 years or so.

July 4th? Heck, it won't even make it to Memorial Day.

Listen to the radio.com broadcast of the station, no ads as no one is buying.

TSA reported about 125,000 people taking flights yesterday. Normal volume exceeds two million.

There were valid criticisms mixed in with his usual weirdness. No question Larry wasn't putting up an act.
