Fox's coverage starts at 6pm. There is gonna be a huge parade. A lot of HOFers will be there. I assume they are gonna put these HOFers in floats and travel all the way to Yankee Stadium.

Parades are usually stupid. But it's always fun to root for something to go wrong on live TV. I don't know. Maybe one of these old ball players will have their hair piece blow off. Maybe Tommy LaSorda's fat ass will fall out of the float as he's waving to people. Maybe these old ball players will have a mic on during the parade, forget, and make a racist comment on live TV. Something cool like that might happen.

But in all reality, it'll just be a gay ass parade with a bunch of old dudes and no bush to look at.

This parade is taped from earlier today.

They are showing AROD and other all-star players in their suits riding in Manhatan. Obviously the players are at the park at this hour. ESPN showed the players warming up in their uniforms at 5:30. But you knew they were at in the park by now without seeing that.

Mays wasn't blowing him off. Mays is pushing 80. Forgive him if he's not completely aware of his surroundings.

I thought that was a pretty cool way of introducing the players. Bringing them out with the HOFers.

Some of it was cool, but did all this junk have to take 45 mins??

This is ridiculous, play the damn game already.

new chevy malibu ad playing silversun pickups - not as good as the Caddy "HUM" ad, but kinda cool.

previews for that show "fringe" make it look a bit promising...though i've been sorely disappointed with jj abrams as of late...and "transformers" wasn't exactly brilliantly written...

Tony Gwynn looking more and more like J Hood every day.

Anybody else notice the douchebag HOF second baseman who didn't stand out in the field... even though he was broadcasting the HR Derby for ESPN last night?

I hope that Hurdle allows Volquez to face Hamilton. That would be fun.

I still like the trade.

Hamilton
BA HR RBI OBP SLG
.310 21 95 .367 .552

for

Volquez
ERA W-L SO WHIP
2.29 12-3 126 1.24

95 RBI's are sick, but I love a league-leading starting pitcher in ERA and W's.

And he is doing it for the Reds, very impressive!

Crede will get to play 4 or 5 innings. AROD won't play past the 5th and Crede is the only other 3rd baseman on the roster. Quentin will get in late too. Maybe one of them can win the MVP.

All-star play by Ichiro. Played the ball perfect and guned him out at 2nd.

Huh? Longoria is on the roster and also Carlos Gullien.

Oh yeah. Sorry. I heard that somewhere and believed it for some reason. I did forget that Longoria got that final vote.

During pregame, they said that Longoria would probably replace Bradley at DH, not 3B. Francona said A-Rod will get 3 AB's, then Crede will come in.

This HAD to be pre-arranged between the two of them - for the benefit of the Yankee Stadium fans.
