I have the give away from the Frank Thomas retirement game. He was such a great player. I was sad to see his later career where he looked so uncomfortable at the plate. My son is named Frank, nicknamed appropriately Big Frank, almost used Thomas as his middle name.

I wish he played for the Cubs instead of Gracie.

For years he was in charge of increasing the number of minority candidates in managerial positions in baseball. Ironically this was one of the things that the guys at the Score bashed him over when Williams was hired. They claimed that this was simply a way for Reinsdorf to show that he was putting his money where his mouth was.
