This is a under-the-radar big weakness on this club. Cohen is a good player, properly utilized can be a match-up nightmare. But there is one issue: he isn't a runningback.

And I'm sorry but cement feet Montgomery may be able to carve out a niche as a grinder but he is nowhere near being enough to replace what Jordan Howard brought.

Late round draft pick with some speed but without the Cohen body.

Dobbins is going in the neighbourhood of 2.60...tell me you're not intrigued...

Fix the line and you'll significantly help your running game. On 3rd and 2s the line is getting pushed back by 2/3rds of the league.

I'm guessing it's because of his receiving ability. His highlights look amazing.

I think we're back to undervaluing runningbacks again.

I would pass on a WR for the 3 or 4 years of that.

Why not both? Dobbins looks every bit as good as most of the first round RB's the last few years, exception being only the obvious Barkley.

That was a Nagy thing. Drives me crazy too, I really liked that pick. Why Nagy kept bouncing him to the practice squad I do not understand.

Because then you can't get an OT.

I look at the draft history of tackles and I honestly dont know if the second round is the right place to draft one. As massive the need is, I dont think its a reliable place to find a starter. And if you're a GM with one year left before he gets axed you dont have time for a developmental project.

I would take Dobbins first. There should be another good WR available for the next pick.

We are taking OT and either WR or defense in round 2. Dobbins is going round 2 for sure. No way we land him.

This offense needs playmakers period, Montgomery's running style is going to put him on the injury list frequently, so you really need another quality RB.

I actually think enough teams are going to think they can steal Dobbins that he'll go top of the second, somewhere in the forties.

Fix the OL and play calling and you fix the RB position.

Then neither is the RB position. So, talk about something else.

I’m just saying, why waste a draft pick on a position that you will not improve your team with?

Yep. The running backs do not have a real chance on this team because the two tackles are AWFUL and the guards are not much better.

Its a problem for sure. But unless they can work a trade or find a couple of linemen in free agency, they have to at least try to replace our two OTs. Pace put himself in this situation and it is on him to work his way out of it.

If a bad medical or guy falls to 6th who had a 2 or 3 grade, take a shot. Otherwise this team should be focusing on other positions of need

Matt Brieda could have been had for half the Jimmy Graham money and is as good as any RB you’ll find in the 2nd round this year.

Ehhh I dont know Dobbins has mega potential. But you're right about the money part, his signing is what actually spurred me to make this thread.

And there is no guarantee D'Andre Swift is going in the first, I saw the O/U on runningbacks going in the first at 0.5.

Brieda’s as good as Swift and Dobbins. He’s awesome.

I know injuries had a lot to do with it but Mostert came in and looked great too. I'll take Dobbins or Swift on rookie contracts, tbh.

Trade three picks for Fred Gore. Thirty percent chance Pace has already thought about that.
