This is the obvious and correct answer. The panic is a result of the overreaction, not the other way around. Still, I dont think there any putting the genie back in the bottle. People are running around wearing cut up t-shirts for masks, its just reached a level of outright insanity.

It's odd reading online people who haven't visited their parents in the suburbs, gone to the grocery store or traveled out of their city/neighborhood. The air isn't poison. Get the hell outside and be a normal person. Get your own damn groceries instead of making some poor sap gopher your grocery list.

It's funny because I've seen my way parents more during this lockdown than before. Door-to-door Ravenswood to Arlington Hts has become such an easy drive.

I don't think a lot of people wanted to fly when flights resumed after 9/11 either.

Unless we really go to the wristband tracking where the government monitors your every move and then allows/denies you access to public places based on your latest health certificates.

How much weight do you think people have gained across the country? How much heart disease and diabetes are we incurring when everyone is putting on ten pounds a month in pure fat.

My family down in Tennessee all live in the same town and I don't think they have gotten together.
That blew me away, I offended them all when I told them they were crazy. My Brother in Law is a doctor and my mom is a former RN, they are scared shitless.
