Jones might be a bit of a project but it is surprising.

What the hell is going on with Baun? He had a diluted sample but I like my LBs on steroids so what’s the issue?

People probably keep watching the Illinois highlights.

Just like Rogers and Farve.. smart pick

It isn't really like that tho.

Rodgers was considered a top QB and was thought to maybe even the #1 pick and he fell in the 1st round. And Farve had been talking a lot about retiring and such. Taking Rodgers at that point was a no brainer.

Love was at best the 4th best QB. And it is coming off a year in which they were 1 game away from the Superbowl. And they traded up to get him in front of teams that were never going to take a QB.

I’ve comes to terms with it. Nobody knows anything - who the fuck knows maybe this kid is great 4 years from now and it’s a tremendous pick. I highly doubt it but as a GB fan I’m just put it past me and moved on, basically a wasted pick tho.

However, if Rodgers does go down again it will finally be intriguing. Brett Hundley and Kizer were pretty brutal.

Yeah no doubt it could end up being a great move. You guys have definitely had the magic touch with QBs.

Just seems so odd in a year in which you should be loading up to take another stab at it with a HOF QB. But yeah we will see.

Holy shit didn’t Tony Boselli used to be a beast of a dude or am I misremembering? He looked like an older office worker right there.

The Packers wound up having a better draft than the Bears.

Yeah he was a stud. The Rona must have taken a toll on him

It makes sense but I didn’t realize it until I saw it today - Packers haven’t drafted a skill position player in the 1st round since Aaron Rodgers.

That’s fucked up. Rodgers deserved better from the front office going into his twilight years.

Don’t think so.

Just spitballing I’d say this for the picks;

Love: D
Dillon: B+

Kmet: C+
Johnson: B+

If Johnson were healthy it'd be a B+ but they guy is legitimately broken beyond repair. He says he "thinks" he'll be ready by August.

Agreed. They’ve had some nice success with 2nd round WRs (Jennings, Jordy, Davante) but I think 20 years from now when people look back on Rodgers they will wonder why GB didn’t spend more significant resources trying to get him help.

I see no difference, they have a starting QB (HOF) ageing quickly..they saw a potential replacement in the first round and pounced.

I would. Why not? I only have one WR and no TE. I'm one win away from the SB last year. Instead of giving me more weapons you draft my replacement and still will expect that I win this year. Fuck you - that's what any self respecting athlete would say.

RFDC, im mostly a meatball so I hope it lights a fire under his ass and we see 2014 Rodgers again. But in all likelihood he will probably make passive aggressive bitchy comments in radio interviews this summer and then go 9-7 next year.

I don’t think he’ll demand a trade.

It would be the same if Burrow or Tua fell to their spot and they took him. Otherwise it is not the same.

They have a TE potentially. Sternberger looks like he could be pretty good. As I’ve said earlier, TEs take some time.

Well the good news in being a meatball is give you some time and you will be back in form saying you guys will go 12-4 and be looking at Superbowl run soon.

Point still stands though. Give me people I can throw to or help my defense get better. Don't give me someone who will fetch my helmet as I take the field when I'm 36 years old.

yeah a lot of people had similar reactions to Eddie Jackson being picked. Hopefully it works out even close to that.

It’s a moot point. His contract makes him untradeable on GB’s end. Even if they were getting Joe Burrow and more back it’s impossible to take a $40M+ dead cap hit

I like the kid the Jets just took. I read a bit about him in draft previews and seems like he has a lot of upside if this range. Who fucking knows tho
