Depending on the condition of the bunker, yes that may be possible Hawg.

No surprise here.

Most bunkers out here have the consistency and density of the cart paths so not a huge issue.

Back in the day, Midlane, in Wadsworth was rock hard fairways...If you could land it in the fairway, 350+ was not out of the realm of possibility.

Pritzker mentioned state parks but didn't mention golf. Hope he's just keeping that under the radar for whatever reason.

Roe Conn was talking about this for the first ten minutes of his show

I hope the club I work at lets them have caddies, but I don't think that will be for a while.

Outside of hearing my son talk more, this is the happiest I've been in weeks. I love the family time and I've had some damn good beer, but getting out and playing a round of golf two weeks ago was like being high on life. It was one of the best days of 2020 I had so far. Looking forward to more!

I wonder if you can get lessons? I wasn't planning to hit the links this year till I had a lesson with Sones. After having a great summer thanks to his lesson, my swing started to fall off again at the end. need a tune up.

Not up here you can't, none of the driving ranges are allowed to be open.

Probably not, shakes. Maybe over Skype or something but not in person.

I wonder if any courses would have an issue with somebody hitting their own balls on the range? I have about 20 or 30 shag balls, and might order a bunch of cheap balls online so I can hit a few balls before heading out to play. Its not like I'm going to walk out there and retrieve them.

I know you can't here, all of the ranges are completely closed.

I imagine the risk is employees picking the range and handling the range balls and putting them in the dispenser. If you take a shag bag of your own balls, I wouldn't think a course would be too upset as long as you replace your divots.

He's a placebo for you.

Just have him run your credit card for like $100 and you should be good to go.

Of course the governor would screw this up. If he's not going to allow more than two people in a boat for fishing, I guess he's not going to allow more than two people on a golf hole. What an absolute idiot.

Not only are driving range is closed in Illinois, but practice putting greens and chipping areas are also closed.

This state is a fucking joke.

What is the point of closing the practice green? There are very few times during the year that I encounter more than three or four people on the practice green unless I'm at an
outing.

In what way? Fill the holes with styrofoam or turn them upside down. There is nothing to touch.

Unless you mean golfers gathering. In that case I also worry about that. Because if that happens JB will shut them down again.

Putting with the cups up is really a thing. Quite a bit easier overall. I still managed to make a 3 putt of course. Great to be back out there. A guy in my group hit the raised cup from 175 yards on 18 today. We gave him the eagle even though I doubt it would have gone in the hole. Took some money out of my pocket. The WSGA is allowing people with handicap placards use carts so two of my guys got to use carts much to the dismay of everybody else we saw on the course. Course looked to be doing good business which makes me happy for them.

$100? What am I getting, half a lesson?

Gonna be tough to get a tee time this weekend. Sunset valley already booked pretty much all weekend. Deerfield booking goes online Thursday, maybe I can find someting there.

It appears the cart restrictions here are more "if you can walk you should walk". Carts will be allowed for those with physical limitations that make walking impracticable.
