You cant draft need in the fifth round so they are right not to do that. But man, two cornerbacks? With the kind of horrible offensive line the Bears have?

This is what sucks about not picking in the third or fourth. I shouldn't care what position Kindle Vildor plays, but I do because this is the fourth player we've gotten out of this draft. And that's really because Pace has given up a ton of assets to trade up for guys like David Montgomery.

He did it again for Gipson too, so now we're without a fourth in 2021 unless the compensation gods smile on the Bears.

It was a fourth for a fifth. He keeps robbing the next year to try and cover gaps he creates because he did this same shit last year. Eventually the house of cards fall apart and we get years like this where awesome talent is going off the board and the Bears are basically sidelined for one-hundred picks.

You take the best player on your board at this point. Both of this guys are good picks for this part of the draft. The disappointment you feel for this pick is really just a culmination of Pace's failures that have gotten us to this point.

In terms of what’s been available during each of their selections and who/what they’ve actually selected I’m not sure I’ve seen Pace have a worse draft than this. As I’ve said many times over -this guy does want have a plan, and has no idea what he’s doing. He is completely lost when it comes to drafting.

Not really. It's obvious that Pace and Nagy feel that TE is the only glaring offensive need. They might do the rest at the end of the draft/UDFA .

Doesn’t hurt to grab one this year too. Especially in round 5 where it’s ok to gamble a little on guys who slide.. cutting them if they don’t work out doesn’t mean anything.
