The twosome at 15 minute pisses me off more. On the document courses have put online, it says that "Tee times generally average 12 minutes. This increased spacing in time will make sure no groups run in to eachother."

Thats 12 minutes for foursomes, ya dickfucks. You could have twosomes go off every ten minutes and they should never run into eachother. Eight golfers per hour is on the course is insane.

Apparently they want a hole in between twosomes. That's 398 yards more than the recommended 6'.

I love the new rules and regs. 15 minute gaps and only 2 some, we're gonna be playing golf in under 3 hours even on weekends. Gonna be glorious! Frank stop complaining ya big baby!

If you can get a tee time at a decent place.

I've got arthritic feet and will be lucky to walk 9. I'm not asking for a cart in any event even if I might qualify. I planned on trying to walk more anyway this season. I have new custom inserts for my shoes and am on a new arthritis prescription. But, when carts come back I'll use them as needed. For now, I'll do the best I can. Since I'm a member at Morris CC, I'm not paying for each round in any case.

And walking only. Isn't that the death knell for golf with a guy who has a bad back?

I walk 9 every week in my golf league. Walked Sand Valley last year and survived. Walking on easy terrain is doable. I'll probably be sore the next day, but I don't care. With no hockey I'm missing out on 3 high cardio workouts per week. Driving me crazy. I'm looking forward to walking 18. Gonna try and get a regular tee time every Sunday, first one out to mimic my usual 6:30 am skate.

gonna be tough at first, but having it walking only will drive away a lot of golfers. I think it will balance out the 2 some and 15 minute gap rule. Plus rounds will be taking such a shorter amount of time that you can tee off a lot later and still get in your 18 no problem.

It is true that there will likely be fewer golfers out there. The guys that use it as social time to drink, and the older guys who physically can't walk probably won't play much if at all. That is a good point.

all the riff raff will be gone. You gotta be pretty serious to commit to walking 18. Also, you'll lose all the people out there entertaining clients. It'll be just the hardcore golfers going out 2 at a time every 15 minutes. It'll take you as long to play as it takes you to walk 18 holes and hit your ball along the way. You'll move the entire time. I can finish 18 in under 2.5 when I'm by myself in a cart all alone on the course and that's with me taking my time and looking at putts from every angle. I gotta imagine a 2 some can get around in under 3 no problem. that aspect of it is going to be great. No more 5 hour rounds every weekend. Courses are gonna lose their ass, but it's better than nothing.

It sucks that were not gonna be able to play with 2-3 buddies at a time. Even if you play back to back you'll never see each other with 15 minute gaps. But, the tradeoff of sub 3 hour rounds is going to more than make up for that for me. At least in the short run when the alternative is being stuck in my house.

This is also just for now. It would not surprise me by late May if threesomes or foursomes are allowed, and cart rental maybe returns. If neighboring states can have for sums and still social distance and have a few restrictions in place, there is no reason this state can't as well.

Guess I’m glad I have a stand bag. Be like being 14 again and my dad not wanting to rent me a pull cart.

1:30 Friday at Coyote Run 8)

Talked to Tom the head pro there. He seems to think that there is a consensus among the golf industry that these rules will be kind of a phase one opening, and by mid-late May putting greens might be open and foursomes might be allowed, and then in June carts might be allowed. He said one big issue is that courses may see pristine conditions with no carts and that some courses may opt to go cart path only for the entire season to keep the conditions nice.

But anyway, happy to be getting out for now and looking forward to seeing common sense prevail and more things opening up little by little.

So how do you get a (driving) cart? you basically have to be crippled, old or prove you can't walk 18?

In Wisconsin, you had to have a handicap driving sticker or license, not totally sure how they do that.

So far here the cart is available to anyone and sanitized every time. That is a pain so they just encourage the walking from what I saw. Also, you can have one than more person in the cart if it is your spouse or other household member.

So you can share a cart with a buddy and just say you are gay right?

Are you really that desperate to use a golf cart, Bob?

And "push carts' are the new "Toilet Paper" in terms of demand.

Right now I'm playing the Golf Futures game. Do I buy my wife a push cart under the assumption that she will have to use it enough to make it worth the purchase? I think I'll do it cause even if they do end up letting us back in carts relatively soon, it might be longer than that before I am allowed to play hockey again. So I'll be looking to continue walking my rounds if that's the case.

I bought a push cart when all this started anticipating this to be the rule when courses were allowed to open. looking back, I wish I had bought a light carry bag instead.
