On his sample Wonderlic test this morning, our hero got one question wrong because he thought .33 was greater than .8. And one of the things this guy does to earn his living is talk about sports stats? Overall, he got 7 out of 12 (Fred got 10) and he was bragging about it like he just found a cure for cancer or something.

Somewhere in the bowels of this board there is a copy of the NFL wonderlic and some guy's speculation of what Pappy's and Buffone's answers would have been to those questions. Anyone adventurous enough to dig it up?

I'll bet you that when Pappy was told that he got that wrong he still didn't understand it. I'll bet you it took quite a while for someone to explain to him that .80 is greater then .33. I think your average 5th grader can figure that one out. LOL

Hey Mitch next time you are negotiating a contract with north put these two numbers on paper and ask Pappy to pick one.

10,000.000 and 1,000,000

The CBS corporate guys will give you a big raise when Pappy takes the 10 grand.

There's a 15 question sample Wunderlich Test here: http://espn.go.com/page2/s/closer/020228test.html

I don't know if any of these questions appeared on the verison they took, but if that glorified derelict North could get half of them right, I'd be surprised.

Keep in mind they give these tests to stupid football players. Fred was proud of 10 out of 12. Pappy got 7 right. I'll bet you him not knowing how to figure out decimal places wasn't even the easiest one he got wrong.

Another one he got wrong was if John is twice old as Mary when Mary is 17, how old is John when Mary is 23? Mike "The Brain" North took the bait, assumed once you're twice as old, you're always twice as old, and said 46. Fred correctly answered 40. God, say what you will about Fred, he's smarter than North. Yeah, I know, that's not saying much.
