As sunny and windy as it is here now, it won't take it long at all to dry up.

Found a matching 4 iron with the same hard-to-find shaft on eBay. It was listed as shipping from Ontario Canada, but ended up shipping out of Niagra Falls NY, so no duty for Furious.

Tee time at dusk on Saturday. I'm hoping to play 4 holes if my feet hold out. Looking forward to hitting the new irons and wedges. Video appt with Foot Dr. tomorrow. I have feet like Bill Walton. Ordered 3 pairs of new adidas pants though. Most comfortable pants ever.

Duty is nothing. It's like sales tax.

GLROIOUS day out on the links. Had a chip in for birdie and attempted to do the Faldo dance.

Our Pro isn't policing the "no carts" rule (but still single riders only). I think he's doing the right thing. The majority of members have private carts anyway. And the restriction is pretty vague and subjective. The demographic of my club is still a lot of older guys and there is no way they can walk 18 holes.

Been playing pretty well but need to iron out the new swing. Keeping the ball in play much more but could use a range session to groove it. Course played long yesterday with wet conditions. Made 4 birdies and really helped after a double on the first hole after a one hour frost delay yesterday. Looking forward to a beautiful weekend. My 3 guys all have their own cart so hard to keep up walking. Not fun breathing hard hitting my shots. 7000 yard course yesterday with no roll. Down 6 lbs since playing last two weeks. 255 yard par threes just ain’t fun

Two bad rounds to start the weekend. It's like I've lost everything. There's always tomorrow!

Tremendous session with the shag bag down the street. Just lasering the 5 iron. 8 iron was not too shabby either. 4 iron arrives Monday. Might cut out of work for a midweek round.

Hit the ball great. Not many out there. I did see a couple of golf carts, so I need to check with the pro and see what the criteria is and I need to work on my fitness.

walked 18 yesterday. Made it, but it was a struggle. Back started stiffening up by #9 and got worse. By the end I was using my driver for support to go down and put a tee in the ground. But made it, 6.5 miles. spent the rest of the day in pretty bad pain, but pretty much all recovered this morning. Still a little sore. Didn't play that bad, shot a 91. Skulled several greenside chips as I was having trouble finding the ground. Other than that was pretty solid. Still slicing all my long/medium irons because I'm coming in from the outside too much, but I can't fix that without a lesson because i don't want to start shanking again. Driver was pretty solid.

Despite being as stiff as i was at the end I did manage to play the final 5 holes at +2.

Might do it again next week. got around in 3:15.

Buffalo Grove is a nothing special muni, but it was as easy walk and in good condition. $44 seems pretty steep to walk, but I don't have a problem with courses charging a bit of a premium to make up for all the lost rounds/golf cart rentals/food & beverage/pro shop $$.

44-39 = 83 at Coyote Run on Friday. Really one of the most solid rounds I have put together over the last two seasons. Did a max two putt the first two holes and took a couple of practice putts on the first two greens as well. Said greens were actually kinda beat up, but the rest of the course was pristine. Wet in places, but not bad. Pulled a couple drives, but was able to save bogey on those holes. Really played well on the back 9. Used an A gap to chip and run a few shots to within 5-6' to save par or bogey. Chipped in for birdie on the par 3 16th. Really nice to get out there. Great weather.

Early and chilly tee time on Saturday, then playing with some buddies for our mustard jacket on Sunday the 17th.

After trying to walk 9 on Saturday, I decided to start going for a walk in the morning and evening. Hopefully, I can build up the stamina to at least walk 9 comfortably.

On another note, it's amazing to me that regardless of the economy and price that Scotty Cameron sells each and every Gallery putter that he lists. Some of them are pretty fugly.

Walked 18 Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for 2nd weekend in a row. It was not pleasant getting out of bed this morning but I can feel the stamina coming back out on the course. I can probably do a better job stretching before bed or something so I don’t wake up so tight

I am not sure I like to play golf enough anymore to play 3 days in a row, and I damn sure couldn't walk 3 days in a row.

GEORGE: Hey, what happened with Sandy. I forgot all about it. Did you call her?

JERRY: Yeah, I did. In fact I went over there.

GEORGE: So what happened? She throw you out? Eh?

JERRY: No actually, she took it pretty well.

GEORGE: So what happened?

JERRY: She's into it.

GEORGE: Into what?

JERRY: The manage. And not only that. She just called me and said she talked to the roommate and the roomate's into the manage too.

GEORGE: That's unbelievable.

JERRY: Oh, it's a scene man.

GEORGE: Do you ever just get down on your knees and thank god that you know me and have access to my dementia?

JERRY: What are you talking about? I'm not goin' to do it.

GEORGE: You're not goin to do it? What do you mean, You're not goin to do it?

JERRY: I can't. I'm not an orgy guy.

GEORGE: Are you crazy? This is like discovering Plutonium ... by accident.

JERRY: Don't you know what it means to become an orgy guy? It changes everything. I'd have to dress different. I'd have to act different. I'd have to grow a mustache and get all kinds of robes and lotions and I'd need a new bedspread and new curtains I'd have to get thick carpeting and weirdo lighting. I'd have to get new friends. I'd have to get orgy friends. ... Naw, I'm not ready for it.

GEORGE: If only something like that could happen to me.

JERRY: Oh, shut up you couldn't do it either.

GEORGE: I know.

I only played 9 this afternoon. Beautiful weather but just way too many people. At some points there were 3 groups on a tee. Solidified why I prefer to play early in the morning. I enjoyed spending time with the club pro and it was a nice walk but 2:30 minutes on a 3000 yard front nine is a bit much. I’ve played that entire course in less time than that. Real world problems I know...

We had some dope a few groups ahead of us pushing the raised cups down into the ground so always fun guessing where the holes are. Aiming at the middle is not really a bad strategy overall though

So they completely took the flags out?

Smashing the cups down is serious shithead behavior during this time.

And I haven't seen one like you are talking about. Although on every green yesterday, I wanted to grab the flag. Glad to report I didn't, I don't want y'all reporting me.

We switched from yesterday afternoon to today due to weather. I am very interested to see how the rules really are enacted on the ground here. Tee at 3.

How are you not playing with flags, Tbone? The three courses I played all had flags out. Two of them had the cup about 1" above the hold, and the other had foam inserts in the holes to prevent the ball from dropping all the way down.
