Good for him.. Looks like he dropped 65 lbs. He had to be 325 at his heaviest.. Hall of fame, yes or no?

I say yeah.

He's really close. One of those guys who may take the full ten years of eligibility.

Borderline on the numbers, but Yankee bias will push him over the line.

Chris Sale has a better K/9 than anybody on that list.

If he had that kind of commitment to his health as a player, he would still be pitching and could have made a run at 300.

The alcoholism also, he was pretty damn amazing considering.

In 2008, he put the Brewers on his back to get them to the playoffs. He pitched on 3 days rest basically the whole 2nd half of the season.

Yeah no doubt.

Always glad to see someone make some better choices about things, but man what could have been...

Yeah, that Brewers run he had will probably be something that is never done again due to "load management" bullshit.

He should have laid off the sauce, but I would leave him out of the HOF for abandoning his team to go to rehab during a playoff run. He couldn't wait a couple more weeks?

I think Dan did a segment on what could have been when it came out that CC and Serena Williams were seeing each other and how if they had a son it would have been the BIGGEST BLACK STUD in history.

That NL Central race was something else. Then both teams crapped out in the postseason. Real bummer, a Cubs-Brewers NLCS would have been amazing.

I still blame The Cub!!!!

Gallardo blew out his knee the opening series in Chicago that year and couldn't help Fatty get us further as he wasn't the same when he came back for the playoffs.
