Kind of hard to believe. They are in what would seem to be a low rent building and certainly seem to be a popular choice both at the site and tap houses in general.

This is just a free ad. They are either going to take advantage of the downtime and rebuild their facility or they are going to focus solely on brewing and bottling. I've never been a fan of them or their product. They can piss off for all I care.

So I won’t be able to eat their overpriced food anymore? Got it. I will still buy the beer.

I wanted to go even though I'm not a beer drinker. People from all over the world would go there for their beer fest. I wanted to sell my beer online.

The Pub is going belly up?

Does that mean their beer being bottled and distributed is also going away?

I think it’s just the pub. You can still buy their stuff in stores and the brewery. Just no more food/draft sales at the pub.

They were in the midst of a big expansion.

Right. Wonder what this means for the distillery. Regardless, it has to take a toll on the employees’ spirits (dad joke).

Seems more like a business decision. Eliminate the brewpub and focus solely on distribution. There are a ton of new IL breweries popping off that are cutting into their market share.

If they don't have a brisk carry-out business, opening back up at 25-40% seating capacity probably not worth the hassle of making patrons and staff wear PPE + the cost of brawny and Formula 409 to wipe everything down constantly + risk someone comes in with the corona and passes it to staff and other patrons. Restaurants starting to slap on a COVID surcharge, which hopefully is exempt from local and state sales & hospitality tax? If not, the covid surcharge should be:

Surprising that a bar in an isolated industrial park in Munster wouldn't be a huge money maker.

MANY breweries have been put into industrial areas. If they put out a good product, people will go there.

I'm just saying, its not an uncommon thing nowadays to have a brewery with a tap room in the middle of an industrial park. Some are full bars, some only offer what they brew and some soft drinks, some have food, some serve no food but allow you to bring in any outside food you want.
