Im not upset with how he's been playing, but he didnt do much today. That 4 pitch BB was easy. Im just glad he got on, I was feelin good things about Quentin if he got up with risp.

Since this seemed to work for Swisher...

Riles, put the crayon down, stop filling out job apps for fast food places, and start a "Paul-O-Meter" thread. He needs all the fucking help he can get right now.

It had a little bit of a Game 2 feel to it. I could hear the ghost of of John Rooney yell "It's a goner and a White Sox winner, winner on a Swisher home run."

I wish John Rooney was still on the radio call, although Ed Farmer got excited last night in calling Swisher's game winning homer as well. LIGHT IT UP!

It really is time for this pathetic fuck to start taking some heat. He really gets next to no criticism in this town. Meanwhile, he strikes out over 25% of the time (120 and counting on the year) and has one of the worst averages of any regular starter.

He hits a few home runs and walks. So fucking what.

Agreed. I could live with his average up in the 240s. Thats not great, but he was at .196 and to raise it 35 40 points midseason shows you are hitting.

Other than that walkoff about a month ago, he has done jack and shit. I don't know why old man Griffey who can't field, and Swisher who can't hit are trotted out there every day over Brian Anderson. BA isn't going to win a batting title, but he will hit no worse than Swisher, and is the best defensive outfielder- with the glove and arm- on the team by far.

You know what I hate about him. Among other things. I've heard our writers and other "pom pom media guys" say this about him. Especially when I catch the jokers wild. He's a weekly guest on that show with Kap.

They say "Ya know, if he's hitting or not he's the same guys. Joking and laughing. Ya gotta love that."

So what? What the fuck does that matter? No. I don't have to love that. Maybe he should sulk a little bit and be pissed at himself for always striking out looking in big spots. Maybe, after a game like this, he shouldn't be mooning people, grab-assing his teammates. Maybe, dare I say, after a 3-strike-out game, Swish shouldn't be dry-humping Juan Uribe in the club house. That's not cool. That doesn't make me like him more.

So what? I have a bad day at my job, but I'm generally still in a good mood and making wisecracks. Does that mean I don't get read the riot act? Fuck no. This guy is an assclown. Can't even hit .230. Fucking pathetic.

Swisher's avg is now .269!! Of course that's if you count K's rather than hits  On the other hand its better than Thome's .288 K avg

Hopefully Swish gets the damn bat off the shoulder every once in a while.

And Kenny wanted to have Swish as his face guy, for the team. Doing all the commercials and putting him up front in the start of the season. Oh look, he can do the worm!!! What a joke... As good a job as Kenny did to get Quentin and Ramirez, he over-estimated Swishers abilities. Hell, he isn't even going to sniff his career average, of .244 . But hey, he can still do the worm!!!

The guy peaked at .238 this year with 24 HRs

Now battling .219.

he has had some timely hits, however in the long run the odds catch up

Swisher is the essence of an assc lown. If he was a Chicago Cub the Sox fans would not be able to stop harassing him. They might even dub him king of the ass clowns. Could you imagine him sucking up the bleacher bums and what the Sox fans would say if the Cubs had a guy hitting .220 but acted like he was an ALL STAR

Kenny, Ozzie and Stone would not be able to contain themselves wiith backhanded remarks like:

"Well if we signed a guy and he batted .220 this year I am not sure we would be so happy"

I find it hilarious that the guy Sox fans would hate if he was a Cub becomes a fan favorite and media darliing among the 3,000 or so fans who claim to be Sox fans.

Let me clarify, I am a Sox Fan and I detest Swisher. is he a MLB caliber player, sure. Could we have signed Matt Stairs or Jeremy Burnitz to do the same thing he has done. No doubt in my mind.

He acts like an all star and plays like a journey man, for this I give nobody credit.

I'm happy to unload that contract. He really had no position here next year.

No love for Jeff Marquez? Kenny loves the guy! Jayson Nix gets his own thread and he might not even make the team!
