I heard Mully doing promos for "laurence holmes, chicago guy 10 to noon" or something that closely resembles that today. Sounded official. I loved Mully and Hanley from 10-12, but thankfully or unfortunately, I rarely have to get up before 10 on weekdays, so now I don't hear them.

Larry sucks. I guess I'll just tune in at noon for Mike "Bloop Meatball Sandwich" Murphy, and pray for 2pm to come sooner than later.

It's always been official.

Mitch is just using his power to draw it out and make Larry sweat. Why? Cuz he can.

Think about it. Mitch rarely has this power. He rarely can use his power. He's had Murph, North, and B&B for years. He doesn't say shit to those guys. Never did. They had contracts and he had no power over them. They are all established and there is not much to say to them.

With Larry, it's kind of fun for Mitch to make him think he's trying out. Mitch can be the big "boss man". Make Larry kiss his ass even more than he probably has over the years.

Mitch basically said it's Larry's job in the management section here. He also said he's close to naming Larry's full time partner. It will be one of the many white guys they've had over the last month.

Don't stab your new partner, Larry!!!!

LoHo's been the only one of the "SCORE's" young guys who even auditioned for the show following "Mully & Hanley" since they moved to mornings... For the record, Comcast SportsNet's Pat Boyle made yet another appearance as Laurence's partner today. Besides, it might not be the only move on the horizon. I read something that Terry Boers' contract is almost up...

Boyle might get it. It seems his he's been pushing for a radio gig in this town. He's subbed for the Silvy and Waddle show a few times.

I wonder how Goff and Drinky feel that they never had a shot at the 10-12 slot. Never had a shot to be Larry's partner. That the station passed them over for an outsider.

Beardown, I think Matt Abbatacola & Jason Goff are in the running to host evenings once the White Sox season ends, I really do. Matt & Jason, plus "Chicago NFL Live with Doug Buffone" & "Bears All-Access with Zach Zaidman" are on the radar for local programming on 670 AM once there's no more Sox games after dark.

Yeah, there will be more evening air shifts in the fall and winter. The Score no longer carries the Blackhawks. I wonder if they'll pair Drinky and Goff again for some of those shifts. Or just split the time up and give them solo shows. Giving them solo shows would be cheaper for Mitch. Why pay two guys when you can pay one? The ad rates will stay the same either way. Sports stations don't make much money for the night shows.

I wish, Beardown, that 'SCR would have Abbatacola & Goff doing "Last Call" together more once the White Sox season ends. I have always heard that talk radio, whether it's sports, news, etc., works better when 2 people are chatting in a studio. As far as "Chicago NFL Live with Doug Buffone" goes, all I have heard is that Pro Football Weekly's Hub Arkush will be co-hosting with the former Bear linebacker Tuesdays & Wednesdays during football season. Hub said it when he & Doug were in Bourbonnais hosting a Training Camp broadcast Wednesday after the Sox game...

Bernstein and Goff was a great listen today, and I honestly can't stand Dan Bernstein usually (especially with Boers).

Just knock down the walls and go with Boers and Abbatocola from 10a - 2p and Bernstein and Goff from 2p - 6p.

Matt or Jason would be the better choice then Larry on this. I am off today and Laurence is all over the road.....again.

I heard him going on about Grossman being (wrongly) booed in practice, remembered his "fans are too quick to forget the good Konerko" discussion and turned. His shows (these topics) have a tendency to have the same flavor as most of what came out of Hub Arkush's mouth when he was on the Bears' payroll, and about as unlistenable.

He has to remember that he is no longer the field reporter needing acceptance from those he covers  , nor is he the athletes' "best friend". He does seem to know his sports, but boy does he seem uncomfortable in a role as regular host. I don't need edgy, but neither do I want to hear "poor baby"/ass-kissing radio.

How many times did Laurence have to say that the fans were being mean to Grossman? They way he kept saying it, I felt like I was listening to a nine year old complaining that the rest of the kids are mean.

LoHo seemed to have a big problem with fans booing Rex Grossman IN PRACTICE!
