I'm conflicted. To listen or not to listen. Its going to be cringe. Plus, isn't Mac on vacation fishing?

Eh, already starting. Nothing like the silver spoon guys, Parkins and Bernstein, trying to talk the race topic. Going to be a rough afternoon.

Silvey today took a swipe at suppressing opposing opinions. Hinting at that's why a lot of people listening didn't want to hear Parkins fake tears, liberal slop today down the dial unchallenged.

The show was a lot of speaking for other White people. "We White folks have to . . ." The hoss was high.

They brought some columnist from the Sun-Times on who Parkinson blew for twenty minutes straight. Not a difficult question at all.

Mac is in his Boers years now, grazing peacefully in Pasture Terry. He'd repeat what Parkinson said, but with more stutters and pauses.

Danny Parkins is a bitch. He's just neither smart nor funny.

I'm done with Parkins as of about 6 months ago. Dude just grates on you to the point where you are done.

Mac has totally bent over, a la Terry with Dan B.

it was a weird show yesterday, parko created a strawman to argue about how they can't just stick to sports. he even admitted no one was texting "stick to sports" on Monday yet he carried the strawman on for a good 2 hours. nick wright married a black woman, did you know that? i know that now. good for him.

no one texted because no one was listening to sports radio yesterday

As for myself, I turned on the cooking channel to hear what Rachel Ray and Katie Lee Joel thought about race relations in the US

I tuned in for a minute and heard his rant about not just sticking to sports and tuned back out. No one cares about what you or any other SPORTS TALK HOST thinks about national news. Waddle and Silvy also had no sports to talk about but they took calls from listeners and stayed away from lecturing their audience; like we are a bunch of school children. You and Bernstein should listen to some of their podcasts and see how to produce a show without talking down to your audience.

Parkins and Mac had a decent point that no one was saying stick to sports because there were no sports.

They seemed more happy to conflate this situation with the Kaepernick one due to the knew I suppose. Yes they have their platform and work through their feelings and opinions just as we do here. It isn't entertaining and isn't meant to be I guess. This matter is bigger though than laughing under your breath that the NFL should not make statements because they supposed colluded to ruin old Colin.

I think I'd like to hear more about what Paul Sullivan thinks about White Sox Park, bad haircuts, and race relations.

I want to hear parkins donate money to bailout looting thugs instead of making crappy NFL futures bets.

I missed that little gem from Dolphin. Why would one expect to see political talk on Food/Sports show?

I stopped expecting sports years ago. Just lies, statistics and glazing the Cubbie owners' privates.

100%.

I understand there isn't much too talk about in the sports world, but do people really care about what Dan Bernstein or Danny Parkins think about anything outside of the most recent local sports stories? Even then, they aren't that great.

Yesterdays gymnastics to arrive at the loudly stated conclusion that Cubs Ownership Loves Black People was remarkable.

I tried to tune in again yesterday to see if they actually took calls. Nope, nothing but more interviews from anyone willing to speak in front of a mic that at one time had some connection to sports. Waiting for the interview with the locker room guy that collected the jock straps from the 85 Bears.

Mac and Parkins have no chemistry. Mac just sighs and sometimes agrees with Parkin's stupid talking points. Doesn't really challenge him on anything. Probably because he has to roll out of bed for less then 100K to talk to a kid who forms his opinions on 80's and 90's sports by watching ESPN Classic. :?

It's sad what the Score afternoon drive has become. Open up the phone lines and actually engage with the people who listen to your show. They are more entertaining then the crap you have put out the last couple months.

I was in the car for about 90 minutes yesterday and for the life of me I cannot recall anything in particular about the show.

Danny Parkins is a patriot. He's just neither smart nor funny.

Since Parkins reads the board I'm picturing him reading this post, not knowing about the censors, and just thinking overall that wasn't bad feedback.

Edit: Well, we're waiting Parko

Out of all the things we said about the show, those two points are what he thinks is funny? LOLOL.

Glad we agree the show is garbage.

FrankyT: One of my favorite lines in that movie. Also love “how’s your portfolio? I’d say strong to quite strong. Greg’s a male nurse.”

FukNuggit: why would I want to get a real job? That’s exactly what I don’t want to do which is why I chose this line of “work”.

Juiced: I just responded to the fact errors. If you or anyone else hates the show that’s their choice. Different strokes for different folks. There are shows I hate too.

GoodDolphin: I had to LOL because you just misrepresented my point so badly. Anyone can check the podcast but I said the Ricketts family for the most part with Laura excluded and Tom has mostly remained silent on these issues they defend some things and people that a lot of Cubs fans including myself abhor. I mentioned dads emails, Petes politics, and Todd funding Trump. I said for some that’s a deal breaker. For me it’s not. I love the cubs. I also think they handle their baseball franchise in a respectable way on social issues and I respect the hell out of how Theo does it. We all can’t be responsible for how our boss or CEO votes on moral reasons or else none of us would have jobs. Cubs fans can make a choice, I choose to acknowledge it and publicly disagree with their stances when appropriate (Pete’s reporter comments most recently) and move on with my fandom. That’s hardly kissing up to a corporate partner - that would be ignoring the story altogether.

Thanks to all for listening.

Parko you think Brees needed / should’ve apologized ? What’s your take on all of the riote...errr I mean protestors not wearing masks and not social distancing since you were clutching your pearls about people maybe attending a half full baseball game?
