He'd be an upgrade for sure. However, the way the McClaskeys toss around nickles like manhole covers I doubt they'd want to pay for him.

You're bringing me down Walt, you're bringing me down. :( By the way, not to be a spelling dick but I believe it's Cris Carter. :P

Terry Glenn would be a downgrade. Don't kid yourselves because he's a 'big name'.

He barely played last year due to lingering knee problems.

I still have nightmares from when the Bears acquired Golden Richards from Dallas. Just say no to former Cowboy receivers.

Hell... Keenan McCardell's still out there - but the Bears are chock full of WRs now and are going to have to cut somebody:

Rashied Davis
Devin Hester
Mike Hass
Marty Booker
Earl Bennett
Brandon Lloyd
Marcus Monk
Mark Bradley

They'll only keep 5

Davis, Hester, Bennett, Lloyd and Booker will be the keepers - with Monk on the practice squad. buh bye Mike Hass and Mark Bradley

I'm looking at that list and asking myself who I'm afraid of. Haven't seen Booker play in awhile, and the rest -- sheesh.

Terry Glenn is a high injury risk for sure. He opted not to have surgery...a surgery which may have ended his career...and so how can you rely on a rehabbed knee from a receiver who played 1 regular season game last year. The Cowboys are trying to get him to sign some injury-waiver clause as part of his contract. That is the stalemate. He is one of those players that could pay some dividends..but there is no way he can be relied on hold much expectation(s).

That said...the Bears may need all the help they can get on offense this year.

Does signing Terry Glenn come with new knees?

Way past his prime. He might not even pass the physical.

I'm holding out hope that Davis will step it up. He's made some clutch catches in his Bears career.

I hope he gets a chance to start to either prove himself worthy or allow him to settle into the career back-up role.

I don't think the Bears are that interested in adding Terry Glenn to be truthful. He may be a high profile name, but that's about it. I don't think his knees can handle the wear & tear, and I don't think he's played all that much in recent years...
