Trae Young. He looks sickly

That figure is higher when you are talking about black people. You have 2 leagues that are predominately black.

Have a feeling some of those opt outs will not be taken this off season.

NBPA regional representatives -- including Tim McCormick and Frank Brickowski -- were among the union officials polling players with a yes or no question on their current desire to return to play this season amid the coronavirus pandemic, according to sources.

I remember that guy from the 1996 Sonics VS Bulls NBA Finals.

Looks like it's coming back. Word is that there will be a month of training camp starting mid June and then games will start mid July with all teams staying and playing at Disney World.

It's gonna be pretty embarrassing when the NBA Finals in Disney loses a ratings war to a NFL preseason game.

Disneyworld should sell a "Super Pass". For 5k you can go to the theme parks and watch as many NBA games as you want. Daily testing.

Nope...only teams within 6 games of the 8th place team.

The NBA is planning to propose a 22-team return to the 2019-20 season in a Board of Governors meeting on Thursday, sources told The Athletic, with the draft lottery expected to be in August. There are plans to conduct an NBA draft combine, though an exact date remains to be determined. The NBA’s proposal will be based on feedback, collaborative discussions and input from constituents around the league.

The NBA’s 22-team format at Orlando’s Disney World would bring the 16 teams currently in a playoff spot, six additional teams, and include a play-in tournament for the eighth seed, sources said. The play-in tournament would work as follows for the Eastern and Western conferences, according to sources: If the ninth seed is more than four games behind the eighth seed, the eighth seed earns the playoff spot; if the ninth seed is four or fewer games behind, then the eighth and ninth seed will enter a play-in tournament that is double-elimination for the eighth seed and single-elimination for ninth. ESPN first reported the league was working on 22-team models.

Adam Silver informed the Board of Governors on Friday that the league is targeting a July 31 resumption of the season, sources said. The NBA discussed four different competition scenarios with owners: 16 teams advancing directly to the playoffs; 20 teams with stage, Olympic-group style play; 22 teams with games for seeding and a play-in tournament; or 30 teams with 72 regular-season games and a play-in tourney.

MANY players seem to feel this way.

The idea of black men being quarantined to dribble for owners is a bad look to them.

Amazing that this has turned into a racial issue.

The regular NBA player trying to stand up to Lebron it seems. Led by one of the most miserable people in the NBA.

https://nbpa.com/leadership

Well there are no white people in NBPA leadership outside of a handful of player reps. This is more about sticking it to the stars who are trying to tell everyone else what to do. However, the wrong person is leading the charge. Nor do I think they realize if they get the season completely cancelled the NBA will nullify the collective bargaining agreement and really stick it to the players.

The media spinning "CASES ARE SPIKING AGAIN" is going to be a part of this deal as well.

One of the first things Parkins said today about this was in regard to Florida seeing a SPIKE in cases.

Even though as we have seen in articles like JORR and others have posted that is not really the case.

But the media makes people believe it.

I thought they were all going to be in a bubble? Should be zero risk if they test negative prior to going in.
