Mac - I'm a huge fan of shortstop / second baseman Ronny Cedano. This is a guy who has solid major league experience, a good glove and arm and really knows how to swing the bat.

In fact, I would like to see Lou Pinella give R. Cedano a few more starts, whether it be giving Mexican Ramirez or Mark DeRosa a blow. Also, weren't the Cub experimenting with R. Cedano in the outfield during spring training?

Here's a few facts on R. Cedeno:

He is only the fifth 'Cedeno' in MLB history, all of which have had nice careers and amoung the five of them, if you're a 'Cedeno' and collect a paycheck from an MLB squad, you're going to play for 8 seasons (average):

Andujar (Donastorg) Cedeno (1990 - 1996)
Cesar (Encarnacion) Cedeno (1970 - 1986)
Domingo Antonio (Donastorg) Cedeno (1993 - 1999)
Roger Leandro Cedeno (1995 - 2005)

im sure ramirez and derosa are all for this plan, they seem to get the best of the deal.
