The Sox are 59-43 .578

The Cubs are 60-44 .577


I love my team and I'm not say'n it will last but who at the beginning of the year would have predicted in late July the White Sox would have a better record and a bigger lead in the standings.

I still think the Cubs will finish with a better record but the Brewers arent going anywhere and Cards have suprised everyone this far into the season. Who knows? Thats why we play the games!

So the Cubs beat Sabbathia (actually the bullpen got the loss, but they knocked the fat ass out of the game) and Sheets of the streaking Brewers (having won 9 of 11, going into the series) to increase their N.L. Central lead to 3 games, while the Sux have lost 3 straight to lose all but 1/2 game of their A.L. Central lead. Nice post Mr Belvidere!!

What a shock. The Cubs have a good few days and the Sox have a bad few days and I see this "This post was made by Elmhurst Steve who is currently on your ignore list. Display this post." in multiple threads in the Sox section.

Elmhurst Steve is MIA as the Cubs see their lead disappear and the Sox lead extended. Now that things are looking better for the Cubs, he finds time in his oh so busy schedule to grace us with his presence.

I agree. If he actually provided intelligent insight in his posts it wouldn't be a problem. If every post was like that, even with it's subtle shots at the Sox, it wouldn't be a problem. Too bad there is a better chance that Frank Coztanza sings the 7th inning stretch at Wrigley than Elmhurst Steve not making an ass of himself.

I only made my post to point out how Elmhurst Steve once again has shown an uncanny ability to disappear and reappear based off of current standings. This doesn't even bring in the fact that he also said that he wouldn't be posting in the White Sox section after the Cubs/Sox series.

Its win win when the Cub struggle! On one hand, the Cubs are struggling. On the other hand, Steve winds up being "too busy" to post.
