Tornado warning here in Orland. Nasty looking on radar, but the rotation looks to be weakening a little. Just some like rain at my house so far. A few thunderclaps as well

Thunderclaps are reserved for the start of White Sox baseball. Western Tinley here, rain, not much else yet. Awaiting the hail.

Hail was small, but very strong winds. Lost power for about a minute. Leak over the bay window, but OK overall.

We see them around here occasionally (chasers, not channel 9 weather men, now that.... thst would be terrifying). This wind has been nuts today. Kinda glad for the break from being in the field for 18 hour days. I might feel semi rodent like tomorrow.

Not all, but MANY of them are meteorologists and scientists that are trying to get data on storms to help with the prediction of tornadoes and severe weather.

Twenty, thirty years ago tornado warnings gave you maybe 2-3 minutes to seek shelter. Now its often times 15 minutes or more.
