why would an investor want to sell at the bottom of the market and for reasons that only might temporarily deflate value

The new team name and logo are going to be a windfall for licensing money

The sports bubble may be getting ready to burst or there could simply be significant pain over the next few years.

Well if he was stealing drugs from the team doctors that would be kind of a big deal. Sean Payton knows ya gotta win a super bowl to pull that kinda shit off.

Even if it doesn’t seem like much to us my guess is Jacksonville will be looking for a new OC by Friday

Not bad by Packer standards, either in the pedo hot tub or with the dope addicts, right?

Might also be trying to get out of the way of a Gloria Allred shakedown or a class-action from disgruntled gamblers

This is the huge red flag.

I have reservations about this too.

What's your chief concern?

So whats happening here? I never get any updates on this scandal. Makes me feel like the low man on the totem pole.

Why don't you want to believe women? Sounds like the Washington ________ still believes that it is 1956

Are you implicitly endorsing the view that just because a woman changes her mind about a man's compliment of her, years after the fact, that such men can be exocriated in public and fired from their jobs? Is that all it takes for you to ruin livelihoods and professional reputations?

It’s definitely bad but even in our current times I don’t think this is close to “the owner needs to sell the team” territory that it was being billed as all week long.

Welp ESPN doesn’t use Redskins anymore, which I guess is true.

“ Washington's NFL team has hired D.C. attorney Beth Wilkinson of Wilkinson Walsh LLP to review the organization's protocols, including its culture, policies and allegations of workplace misconduct, Wilkinson confirmed in a statement on Thursday.”

14 of the 15 can’t speak on record because of their non disclosure agreements. Well, that will last just a few days because you can guess Senators are going to start attacking the local team.

The team formerly known as the Redskins should just have released them from the agreements. Now you look even worse and will get even more pressure.

“ Richard Mann II, assistant director of pro personnel, who in one text message obtained by the The Post told a female employee he and his colleagues debated whether her breasts had been surgically enhanced and in another text message told another female employee to expect an “inappropriate hug … And don’t worry that will be a stapler in my pocket, nothing else.” Mann, who also was fired last week, declined to comment.”

Iirc it’s not a political thing by ESPN, they literally don’t have a team name currently.

Those text chains aren’t the gotcha the paper wants them to be. Clearly these women had casual relationships with male staff. They are flirting right back. Even the stapler comment looks pretty harmless in full context.

It’s interesting following the herd mentality on Twitter. There are a ton of reporters roasting Jason Whitlock for saying this isn’t a bombshell while simultaneously retweeting women who are saying this is an every day occurrence that happens to women everywhere

Yeah you win this one easily. I wasn’t gonna be surprised if it turned out to be nothing but this is really nothing in the scheme of scandals.

Man, poor Jay Gruden. Dude wasn’t even mentioned in the story and Reddit and twitter had him as a hybrid of Bill Cosby and Charlie Sheen. I have no problems admitting you were right here.

I also thought it was odd ESPN reported that Rivera was involved in the selection of the new team name. The guy hasn't coached a single game for you, but you're taking his input on naming your $2b company?

I get it. Pardon the lame ass Bernstein expression but he sounds like the only adult in the building.
