Those all seem too conservative. He'll be better than that.

He'll probably be a little better than that. I'd be happy if he's Hunter Pence.

Would a Jorge Soler be a disappointment?

I almost went Ron Gant, but 300+ Homeruns is a lot of pressure

Yeah if he's trash until he's 27 years old and on a different team I'm gonna say that would be a disappointment.

If he figures out how to slide, maybe the Griffey comparison might work. I am not saying he is gonna hit 600 HRs, but looks like a 5 tool type of prospect.

If I could have found a picture of him pointing at someone I would have made a Luis Robert Camps thread

Eloy said he's better than Trout and when all is said and done, Eloy may be right on that one.

He'll be Torii Hunter with the glove. I would be ecstatic if he turns into a Hunter Pence with the bat, maybe Jayson Werth.

I'll be disappointed if he is just a good player. He has to be a star.

Dont let reality harsh your excitement, there is no award for most realistic fan!

Hope for Trout, settle for Griffey

Robert can be a great player for many years and end up with his number 88 retired, and still not make the Hall of Fame.

If he hits less than 600 home runs you should be majorly disappointed

He doesn't have to have a great career to be in the Hall of Fame if a mediocrity like Harold Baines is in it.

Honestly, I have no idea. There is a vast difference between minor league, pre season and regular season accomplishment so right now his comp is nobody.

This season really won't even provide a clear picture.

I know you’ve generally been skeptical of prospects, but everything points to him being much better than Pence. An OPS just below .800.

He'll be good, he won't be as good as Tatis though. No Cub or Sox player will be as good as Tatis.

Jermiane Dye

20-25 HR power, .869 OPS (with the Sox), All Star, Gold Glove.

And a WS MVP 8)

Years ago (before Mike Trout), I posted my CF "will be the next" levels when Corey Patterson first came up.

Junior Griffey
Andy Van Slyke
Garry Maddox
Juan Pierre
Paul Blair
Henry Cotto
Trini Hubbard

Patterson barely made it above Paul Blair because he wouldn't lay off the eye high fastball. Almora might make it to Henry Cotto, a 10 year short side platoon.

Robert looks like a sure bet to reach Garry Maddox barring injury, and a reasonable bet to be better than Van Slyke. Griffey? Let's wait 1000 PA....

Leury Garcia is more Juan Pierre than Robert is.
