Never mind an easier going against the relief.

Did Lee just swing at the first pitch after a walk?

Too bad the fans don't get prizes for every double play the cubs hit into. Looks like this one's about on ice folks. What a waste.

I would of let Edmonds hit. He drives the ball the other way, and thats where the lefty would be pitching him.

That may have been the most fitting end to a game ever.

The correct use of 'have' and 'of' is also a skill.

When was their last day off? Methinks something more than water and gatorade was consumed on that bus last night, and/or some players made some stops on their way home from Wrigley (or wherever the bussed dropped them).

People! This is no joke! We are talking the PIRATES here, and the Cubs weren't ready! This team clearly doesn't have the mental fortitude to carry on extended winning streaks! Actually, I am very certain this is going to bring on a major losing streak if Lou doesnt set things right after todays ballgame! He needs to shake things up a bit, this kind of performance is not acceptable! I feel a breeze blowing, and it is headed straight for disaster! This loss nullifies all of the momentum gained in the Brewers series! A loss to the Pirates is the WORST kind of loss! They need Rich Hill back up here ASAP to secure that 5th starter spot!

My sleep tonight will be ravaged with horrible dreams about the future of this team! The torment of this season will haunt us all for all the remaining days of our lives! 1969? It will be regarded as a happy time! 2003? An enjoyable season full of great memories and achievement! This year, 2008, will be looked at in history as the bitterest pill of all!

Take notice friends! Be on alert! We are on the edge of disaster today!

PANIC! PANIC! PANIC!

they'll win 2 out of 3, and then 2 of 3 from Houston...then then next "series of the season..."

aw come on how you could hate the rookie of the year? or kevin myers?

casper didn't seem to be very entertained by him though.

I don't know, when they're trotting out Henry Rowengardner for "Take Me Out To the Ball Game", I think it's time to rethink what they do with that time. Listening to Ronnie ask the kid questions was painful...even more painful than listening to his analysis.
Did he throw out the first pitch, too?

I have said it before and I will say it again. It is time to stop the shit that is the 7th inning stretch.
Harry would want it that way. Just play a recording of Harry signing and leave it at that.
This fucking circus is really getting old, enough already.
