I would talk to him about a contract this offseason but I wouldn't go much over 20 million/7 years.

This morning on M&H, Jon Heyman said Bryant/Boras had turned down a $200m offer from Cubs in the offseason. He probably should have taken it.

They have been trying to pay Bryant for a while but he won't budge and in the meantime have given him record arb numbers..12 million this year. If you think that is fucking him over you are bigger burrito then Kris Bryant.

He doesn't seem to play with the kind of enthusiasm and fire he had early on. He has had a number of physical issues, but the knee is the most concerning to me. I would listen to trade offers. if they include an elite starter with years of control as well as a couple of elite prospects, I seriously consider it. He seems more like a guy doing a job these days, than a guy loving his job. Not sure if it is because of the physical problems or something else. Just doesn't seem like the joyful guy who came up in 2015.
