The last three years he has had injuries which supposedly affected his play. The knee this year, shoulder last year and remember he had the finger injury in 2017.

https://www.mlb.com/news/cubs-kris-brya ... c248046690

If injuries are affecting his play in the prime of his career, how will he perform when he gets older?

I would talk to him about a contract this offseason but I wouldn't go much over 20 million/7 years.

This morning on M&H, Jon Heyman said Bryant/Boras had turned down a $200m offer from Cubs in the offseason. He probably should have taken it.

There's no doubt he's soft. There's no way if he was in Rizzo's spot, he would have returned for the Cardinals series. He doesn't have the heart, and he's more worried about money.

It appears that he has been doing that for the last two seasons.

Sounds like a great way to market yourself to prospective GMs you want to get 300 million from in a couple years “ Yeah I could’ve played when the team needed me but I was saving myself “ .

Meh, GMs don't care. Strasbourg still got paid by the team he shut himself down for during their playoff run.

I know for a fact there is a thread out there where I suggested that at the time which was roundly discredited by cub fans

They have been trying to pay Bryant for a while but he won't budge and in the meantime have given him record arb numbers..12 million this year. If you think that is fucking him over you are bigger burrito then Kris Bryant.

He doesn't seem to play with the kind of enthusiasm and fire he had early on. He has had a number of physical issues, but the knee is the most concerning to me. I would listen to trade offers. if they include an elite starter with years of control as well as a couple of elite prospects, I seriously consider it. He seems more like a guy doing a job these days, than a guy loving his job. Not sure if it is because of the physical problems or something else. Just doesn't seem like the joyful guy who came up in 2015.

smh. Luis Robert got a $26 million signing bonus before he even played a game in the United States. I would "get fucked" like that six times a week, and twice on Sunday.

Bryant's going to make a wonderful Angels 3rd Baseman.

I predict Robert won't sign this off season. He knows there's a new CBA coming. If he knows that, the Sox should know that and he should be the starting CFer on opening day, signed or not.

I feel like us, as fans, should not determine if a player is soft or not. I know theat my body responds different than others

He is indeed soft, but if there was even a 1% chance I’d shit myself on national television, I’d sit my ass down (on the toilet) and not play.

You should stop being jealous of the White Sox and worry about him being better than Nick Swisher.
Jorr was killing it even back in 2015.

There was that hiccup with Palka. But we all have our Gordon Beckham moments.

Eh...as much as I love Rizzo, they probably could have found another good first baseman. I think getting Arietta might turn out the be the big move.

But who knows. I mean it'll be a fun discussion to have if it happens. You could look at the Arietta trade, the Rizzo trade, the drafting of Schwarber etc

I know everybody knocks RPB as a dipshit homer who couldn't give a solid stock tip to save his ass... But he's spot on here.

I don't see the Swisher comparison. One is a switch hitting, clubhouse cancer that can't play defense.

Bryant is fast and right handed. Can play 3 or 4 positions. The only thing they have in common is taking walks. Bryant is more like Braun .
