meh on cowley, he's ok as a pinch hitter but i dont see any lasting appeal. kap and hood should be an interesting pairing. Dicaro complaint about no women been tweeted yet? i liked that the show name for the grenberg show requires an explanation in the show title

I just think if Cowley was allowed to be himself he’d offer a good change of pace and probably a good counter perspective.

We will see if Kap will be able to coexist with Hood as a true co-host. They are pretty much conceding 5-7a, and waiting to put a real host on from 6-8pm until they know if there will be a regular NBA schedule starting in December.

The ESPN national lineup may be the worst it's been since the The Fabulous Sports Babe era.

Blech is OK, but Abdalla and Zederman both have grating voices and frequently sound like they're about to cry when they get even a little worked up about something. That doesn't really have anything to do with their age, they're just spazzes.

I’ll listen to Greenie instead of Holmes but that is it. The Bernstein and Mac/Parkins shows are much better than their competition.

I like Hood and have always wondered why he got left behind while so many others got chances and failed. He just doesn't seem like a morning show guy to me. He seems like a really good evening slot host to me. I am glad he is getting a shot. I actually don't mind Kap either but that whole match and time slot seems wrong. After listening to Mully and Haugh lamenting and lecturing us about Covid this morning on my short drive to work I'll try anything new.

He fucked over a star hire and was blackballed from one of the two sports talk stations as a result. That doesn't explain 1000 also kinda jerking him around but it was a real career-limiting move, unfortunately.

He purposely torpedoed his own show once it became The Rick Telander Show or whatever they were calling it. All he had to do was wait and bide his time.

Hood is better in a less structured format than weekday mornings. But he's better than David Haugh in any format, and I think he can figure out how to let Kap drive and just focus on being interesting.

Hopefully eventually Kap's contract runs out and Dickerson takes over.

When North got his "general topics" morning show, they left Doug in afternoon drive and moved Hood up from evenings to drive the show. A few months later, Mitch signed Rick Telander with the announcement that "your afternoons just got smarter." Hood bristled at finally getting a shot only to have it pulled out from under him and sandbagged it in his role as demoted co-host. I think he ended up getting replaced by Mike Mulligan shortly before Telander himself quit. Then B&B got moved to afternoons and the rest is history.
