This article reads like he is trying to stir shit up. He says halfway through Boylen is gone.

He has been trying to do it since they brought in the new team. His Twitter followers have been letting him have it for it every step of the way

Cowley is not making any sense or he can see the forest through the trees. There is zero reason to shitcan Boylen right now. There might be games to play. What is management supposed to do? Fire Boylen , get an interim coach for 10 games, and then fire him too?

When the season is over, there will be a firing and then a hiring. Is this obvious only to me?

Yep.

I'm guessing Cowley needed a column and threw up this garbage on to the computer. This article has basically been written 5 times now.

Cowley is still at it.

The bigger picture, however, is that Boylen is still operating as the Bulls’ coach and making decisions like a guy who has no plans to be leaving the post anytime soon.

So the Bulls' season is officially finished.

Thoughts on when Boylen gets fired?

My personal uneducated guess is June 12 at 4pm Chicago time, only because July 2 is too far away.

I haven’t seen any statement from Boylen about working to bring about racial harmony like Pop did so they should fire them. I’d love to hear him talk about race though.

They still doing the 2nd bubble thing in Chicago? It would be the only reason to keep him on a string. If not, I'm officially worried.

Hopefully they play this out like Ned Stark in GOT. Let Boylen think he will be safe if he "confesses" his sins, and then just behead him anyway.

I got the sense that was why Lavine was reported to be looking to be traded...he probably heard that Boylen was staying.

They could fire Boylen, hire someone else and combine be paying less than what the average NBA coach makes.

If that’s true Conns, then the Reinsdorfs are in the wrong business.

I've read this all along as them wanting one or two particular assistant coaches, and if they can't get them then they'd rather waste a year with Boylen then sign someone they aren't thrilled with to a four year deal.

That sounds about right. The guys that they are targeting are going to make playoff runs so it makes no sense to whack Boylen now and tip their hands. They are going to have to wait to talk to the guy that they want anyway so might as well keep Boylen around for now.

I don't believe anything that Cowley says. He is nothing more than a glorified blogger at this point. A million dollars isn't money to Reinsdorf and Co. They have bought out contracts worth much more than that.
