Seeing my parents for the 1st time this weekend since we saw them for about 5 minutes on Mother's Day. In that time, they've both turned 70 and my Dad nearly died twice. Really looking forward to it.

We typically average 5-6 proposals a week and end up with about 300 per year, but have been preparing 10-12 a week for the last 3 months. We're absolutely swamped.

I had to take a short vacation from the board. Due to my unemployment I enrolled in a PMP (project management professional certification) class. It was a royal patriot and consumed me full-time for 4 weeks.

Add in my unemployment situation and job-hunting...just meant no time for board.

I started a new job Wednesday of this week. It's a slight step backward professionally, but it's a fucking job. The job market is still very very slow and I'm thrilled and relieved to be somewhere. The company is awesome and they are 100% remote until at least the end of the year. The office is in Lake Forest, so location for me will be a huge upgrade.
