I'm not sure if it was Grote or someone else but they were relaying Hub's opinion that MVP Mitch was completing more passes than Foles after 2 days. I enjoy Hub but he really goes down with the ship when it comes to Bears QB's. It was the same thing with Cutler.

Sounds like both players have been good, but (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky has made a few more wow plays. It's good they aren't stinking camp up. That will give the team confidence in whichever guy wins the job.

I don't think bear fans care who wins the job..just be competent. We've seen Mitch and he's bad, can't process the field quickly. Not sure that can be taught.

If he was coached well, he would be fine. Mitch would do well if he was given an offense that Baltimore ran last year, and if he was given a decent offensive line. He was good the 13-3 year.

There should be no doubt Foles will be the starter (barring injury). If he's not, it was a terrible signing.

Not really. He's been better as Ryan Fitzpatrick. Either way it's good for the team that both are playing well.

They didn't spend huge money on Foles to have him be a backup...otherwise it was a terrible waste of resources.

He's only making $8M a year with his reworked contract. That's the going rate for a good backup. The draft pick is the only real cost.

That's fine but don't handcuff him by limiting the attribute that can help him the most in distracting the defense.

Defenses tend to be distracted when there is no ball in play to defend against. Players on the sidelines get plenty of action though.
