finally he got one right. Abreu has lapped Rizzo at least once and he's on his way to doing so again.

Maybe Rizzo can rival against Mazara or Delmonico. Ypu know somebody, closer to his skill-set at the plate this season. It's just not a fair fight trying to compare a Bonafide slugger like Abreu to a guy like Anthony Rizzo.

They said yesterday on the broadcast that when Jose turned 30 he decided to up his physical conditioning regimen and that coupled with the better quality of bats ahead and behind him, he is getting a lot of better pitches to hit. It started last year and this year has been absolutely great this year. Never seen anything like it.

I remember how some on this board downplayed what a great RBI guy that he is. And this without a good pair of hitters in front of him as in getting on base and someone behind him protecting him from getting pitched around. Jose ended up swinging at bad pitches many times because he knew that he was pretty much the only good RBI guy on the team.

I used to think RBI's were bullshit. I was wrong.

If Jose doesn’t get the recognition he deserves (I very much doubt that premise) it’s because of team performance. Hahn hasn’t done him many favors in that regard. 70 win teams usually don’t produce icons.
