Nothing wrong with them protesting a game. Would you rather they loot the streets and rob the stores?

This protest hurts no one and sends a powerful message. Well done NBA for showing there are other ways to protest then violence and disrespecting the flag.

If the NBA players and other athletes really wanted to be brave, they'd condemn the looting and rioting in the middle of making other points about police shootings. Maybe some of them have, I don't know, but that'd be braver than kneeling or taking a day off from bouncing a ball.

That functional idiot Lebron certainly isnt going to make that distinction, even when he's wearing his " Im smart" LeBron glasses.

Wonder what the last time was that a communist loving group of anarchists were deified by athletes and celebrities like LayBrawn and others. In WWII what do you think would have happened if a similar group painted Swastikas on buildings and a sports arena floor and paraded around with I LOVE HITLER signs?

I did say repeatedly that many are already doing this and I'm aware of the school as well as the more recent voter participation initiative he's working on. If LBJ wants to take the next step in the public image he's trying to craft then it's to cease posting dumb tweets that say "WTF we want change" and to become a bit more thoughtful and less reactionary. Mindlessly posting your first reaction to something you see on Twitter is not the way to lead. And I say that because he does seem to want to lead, or at least that's where many see he wants to go. I think he can be held to a higher standard as an athlete-activist who seemingly desires social change. That's a totally different ballgame which requires a different set of skills.

I can picture the conversation:

Silver: no, you guys need to also boycott
Magic: okay, we'll also boycott

Why would NBA or the team's owners ever allow a forfeit? That's a game that's no longer televised and revenue lost. They'd never allow a forfeit.

The NBA is trying to save their playoff inventory and looking like they care.

I don't care what the NBA does and haven't for a long time. This has become a racist league led by racist people. I stopped being a real NBA fan when Lebron and Wade did their shit and it has progressively gotten worse. I watched the replay of that Clipper player yell racist obscenities at an opposing white player and the league did nothing about it and Doc Rivers right afterward and currently has shown what a racist asshole he himself for not only defending the POS but amplifying his hatred for white people.

Let these over-paid and racist assholes find racists to watch their games at the out of sight prices for their shitty games. You want to talk about boycotting games, why not boycott the entire ratty league?

That’s a weak thought. Telling him not to show emotion on a very emotional topic that obviously hits a lot of black people different than it does you and I.

It's never a bad time to use reason. Again the platform demands it. Leaders have to comport themselves differently with respect to the ones they seek to lead.

Wonder if those cops were supposed to wait until the guy reached under his car seat and faced the cops with a weapon? Some of you people should try for just once in your life putting yourself in the cop's shoes on how to handle a violent and dangerous felonious thug. Truth is cops get scared just like soldiers do when their life is on the line. This "they shot him seven time in the back" stuff doesn't fly with me. Until all of the facts come in about what this guy did, whether or not he had weapon(s), etc., I'll presume those cops acted lawfully.

LeBron’s emotional reaction is for social media points. He’s play acting to fit the tone on Twitter. The man literally lives like a King. He has servants for everything. He lives in fortresses isolated from the world, and he’s spent more of his life privileged than struggling.

The platform in question was Twitter and no it does not demand reason, quite the opposite actually. And there have been many great leaders (not even saying LeBron is one) who’ve been prone to dropping F bombs. This Puritan bit by you is utterly nonsensical. It’s fine to admit your initial post was silly when directed at LeBron.

The NBA is in the process of killing the formerly Golden Goose. Stern would never have allowed this shit to happen.

Well whatever. We now have the litmus test of stopping professional athletic contests any time a cop screws up and an unfortunate life is altered forever. Do the sports stoppages come before the looting and burning or after from here out?

In Trump's America we don't get March Madness, no college football, no full baseball season, NBA teams are trying to forfeit playoff games in AUGUST, NFL teams are canceling practice and baseball teams and players are forfeiting games too.

Yup. Not sure how much more needs to be burned down but half the country seems to like the current environment and want four more years. Good chance we get em.

I could run Trumps campaign at this point and get him elected. Though I honestly dont know why the fuck he would want the job again at this point.

Neither Dems nor R’s should have any type of confidence in winning this election right now.

Yep! He's the only person who manages to remain blameless for any of this in the eyes of MANY.
