I mean there is a zero percent chance this does not get out before they lose week one to Detroit.

Maybe they'll change qbs every possession.

Usually you'd be right but this is a very odd training camp.

Typical Nagy amateur hour, as if he's putting a burden on the opponent by making them prepare for both.

They don't have a starting qb on the roster, so no surprise here.

they have two. Neither of them are very good, but they do have a couple of them.

It's odd how confident Nagy is in his ability to overcome obstacles with his play calling. Last year he sat the offensive unit with mostly unproven skill players and this year he's going to split snaps between QB's and expect them to be sharp week 1.

Foles will be the starter and it’ll be a mistake.

Mitch (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is Josh Allen. With a good defense they are one and done playoff teams. I'd rather take a chance with a SB winning QB.

Nagy biggest issue as a coach is his failure to change his offense the last few years based on what his QB can do.

We're gonna get pasted week one. The Lions loooove to get off to hot starts then fall apart.

Josh Allen is going to be really good for a long time. He’s Cam Newton with a stronger arm. This is a bad take.

Bears are +1.5 under dogs to a franchise that may not win three games this year. They are losing.

The Lions are so much better than the Bears its silly. Normally the equalizer would be the coaches but Nagy and Patricia are equally useless.

The Lions are guaranteed 4 wins minimum unless Stafford tears his ACL in the next couple weeks.

The Lions are my team in the tanking for Trevor sweepstakes. Bringing Patricia back only really makes sense if you are going for the first pick in the draft.

There’s really no chance outside of a Stafford injury. Stafford isn’t going 2-14.

The NFC North is putrid they'll get more than four wins. Even the Bears should manage around that number and we are worse than the Lions at nearly every position.

The Bears might get 1 division win. They're going to have a very tough time stopping the run without Goldman, and they're going to have a harder time moving the ball given their offensive personnel and confederacy of dunces coaching staff.

When they're bad they always seem to steal one from Minnesota, at least to my recollection.

They're one injury to Jackson, Smith or Fuller away from being in the bottom-third of defenses.

If Nichols stays healthy, I think he will be a good Replacement for Goldman.

Your comment About the coaching staff is legitimate. We really don’t know if these guys are dunces or geniuses

Nichols is a 3T who can excel at 5T because of his profile. Dont know how he'll fare at NT.

I'm not sure that Nichols is the answer. He excelled in his rookie season because Fangio really understood how to use personnel. Pagano didn't show that knack last year, and I'm not sure Nichols is better than a situational player. I guess we'll find out.

As for the offensive coaching staff goes, it seems very strange that Nagy hired three new offensive coaches to overhaul an offense that he has designed and implemented. He is an offensive "guru" who doesn't seem to have an authoritative understanding of offensive football. This point is especially obvious in his struggles with the running game.

I think with Nichols we may see more interior stunts to try and exploit his quickness in order to beat double teams.

And I agree with the running game comment. While hoping that Montgomery makes him a genius again this year.

Mack made Fangio look like a genius. I dont think it would've mattered who was the Bears DC in 2019, once Mack became a pedestrian-to-pretty-good pass rusher there was really not a lot juice left to squeeze out of the Bears defensive personnel.

nagy is a super positive guy who interviews well and has a good resume. also the polar opposite of marc trestman. nothing wrong with hiring competent positional coaches. also worth noting, the QB isnt very good, the RB position is weak, and the offensive line while handsomely paid is not that great. combine all that and im not sure any OC is successful with this talent core.

Pace fucked them over by idiotically re-signing Massie. That made no sense at the time, they brought him back because they liked him. The fact he's not cut right now is baffling too.

Leno was a little more forgivable at the time, but having done nothing to address that most crucial position in basically his entire tenure as GM has killed them. Now that Leno is the worst starting LT in the NFL and Massie the worst starting RT in the NFL the situation has spiraled and nothing short of a miracle is going to save the offense.
