Luis could be Sammy Sosa. If he is and plays the game clean, he's a 1st ballot Hall of Famer

Granted, I think Eloy is the better Sosa comp

Luis is fucking Ken Griffey, Jr.

As if Sammy Sosa's offensive profile with Robert's defenisve prowess is a bad thing...

Ted Williams. The Mick. Bo Jackson. Billy Williams. Hank Aaron. Griffey Jr. Richie Allen. Frank Howard.

Out of that list Hank Aaron would be the closest.

IF you are talking about raw power and exit speed off of the bat, I'd like to put Bo Jackson, Frank Howard, Richie Allen, and THE MICK up with anyone in the current game. Another couple of guys I just thought of are Willie McCovey and Orlando Cepeda. I always said that if I were pitching, I'd have been scared shitless to face Orlando Cepeda.

The legendary Buck O'Neil said that there were three he saw in person: Babe Ruth, Josh Gibson, and Bo Jackson.

My mom was from Kansas City and my Dad worked there when they got married Dad used to love to go to the Negro League games a lot. They were cheaper and he said the baseball was just as good. He often said that the greatest player he ever saw was Josh Gibson. It is way too bad that baseball wasn't integrated and all of those players were not seen by everyone.

No, most of Clemente's defense was from his Ichiro-level arm, not from his range or speed. Clemente was my favorite player outside of Chicago.

Robert's defensive range/jump is Garry Maddox 80 level.

Yeah. It was a pretty swing. Same with Griffey Jr.

It's always funny to me how the lefties have the best swings. There is no answer as to why this is. It's just a fact.

We can forget about the Mike Trout comps. Robert has a higher slugging % and wRC+ than Trout. Mike Trout should be trying to become more like Robert than the other way around.

Luis is also leading the AL in dWAR
