This franchise has been a failure for most of the past 25 years. They have won one playoff game since 2006 and three total over the last 25 years. The have never had better than an average QB in the Super Bowl era. Nagy has shown he will not adjust his offense to what ever it is Mitch can do. The line also moved from Lions -1.5 to Lions -3 when it became clear Mitch will be the starter.

so if i recall, the colts were trying to get foles too.... so dummy pace coughed up a 4th for foles.... then the clearly panicked colts who apparently lost out on foles sweepstakes then give rivers $25m for a year deal a couple days after the foles deal... meanwhile a couple quality QBs ended up remaining unsigned and FAs for months and ended up signing league minimum deals.... so it looks like you had 2 panicky GM's who overpaid for their QB's due to being unable to read the market.

Trading for Foles is a total Pace move. He gets fixated on certain guys, and he over pays for them. Reading between the lines it seems like Mitch could not handle being the back-up while Foles has done it before. It's a last gasp chance to salvage him. He did play better down the stretch last year including the Dallas game. They didn't do much to help him though.

Still no running game. Offensive line is still a mess. Unless Kmet is Travis Kelce it's going to be another messy year. If Hicks and Mack play like 2018 the team should be entertaining at least. I don't know how they are going to get a season in though if a single positive test means shutting everyone down for a week.

You don't trade for a quarterback to be the starter and then sit him unless you've made such a bad mistake that you will look stupid throwing the guy out there in week 1. This looks to be another Mike Glennon situation, but the cost is a draft pick instead of a big contract that ended up not mattering all that much.

This is actually a good-case scenario. The clown show is starting early, the Bears brass move quickly when things get humiliating. This is Pace and Nagy shooing themselves out the door.

Fact is nobody can succeed with this offensive line, not to mention the horrible tight ends and runningbacks too.

The last few games were scrimmages. I don't think he's great or anything, but our leading rusher had 39 yards against Green Bay. That's the way to beat them. Not whatever Nagy was doing.
